Last week the team at Rise Physiotherapy had an incredible day with Corporate Challenge Events diving into team dynamics, discovering personality types at work and learning what each of us need to thrive. It was all about understanding how we use our strengths and work even better together 🤩

Of course, this got a little competitive 👀 From building the tallest LEGO tower to sculpting mystery shapes out of playdough - the creativity and teamwork were well and truly tested!

Congratulations to Kate, Abbey and Fionn who took home the medals for “Best Future Physiotherapy Facility.” While Matiese, Zoe, Emerson and Issy had the more intricate build, performance and presentation stole the show.

Not only did we have a brilliant day - we were able to give back by donating brand new LEGO kits to local families.

A huge thank you to Corporate Challenge and for such a fun day of learning, laughter and competition!

Feeling like the room is spinning? 😵‍💫

It could be BPPV. This common inner ear condition can cause sudden dizziness, imbalance and even nausea.

But the good news is a physiotherapist can help! 👏🏽

In light of World Physiotherapy Day, we spoke with Isabella Brown, a Charles Sturt University first-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy student and Three Rivers DRH Allied Health Commencing Student Scholarship recipient. 🤩

Isabella lives on a mixed farming property outside Forbes, NSW, and travels over 300 kilometres each week 🚗 to attend lectures at Charles Sturt’s Orange campus. Her commitment reflects a deep passion for rural health, shaped by personal experience.

“Rural health has always been important to me, as I have seen firsthand how the limited access and availability of services in these areas affect community members.”

However, it was during the recent floods that her path became clear. She felt an immense community spirit as everyone came together in times of crisis to help and support one another.

“It is these reasons that make me want to pursue a career in physiotherapy so I can return and give back to my community.”

Thanks to the support of the scholarship, she’s able to focus on her studies. She said, “It has been a massive blessing, and I am very grateful for the amazing opportunity of receiving it”.

Thank you, Isabella, for sharing your story. 👏 🙌

Up to 1 in 2 women who’ve had children will experience pelvic floor issues during their lifetime, but the good news is, physiotherapy can make a big difference. 💪💕
As Women’s Health Week wraps up, we want to celebrate all the incredible women in our community and remind you that support is always available.
Our women’s health physio, Ella, is currently soaking up maternity leave with her gorgeous bub 👶🏻, but the whole Rise team is here to help women move, recover, and thrive at every stage of life.
Here’s to strong, healthy women, this week and every week. 🌸

Life is busy, and often women put themselves last on the list. In fact, 1 in 3 Australian women report regularly putting their health needs aside because they’re “too busy.”
This Women’s Health Week is your reminder: your health matters too. 💕
Whether it’s booking a physio check-up, trying Pilates for the first time, going for a walk, or simply taking 5 minutes for deep breathing, small actions add up.
