Wait… food turns into WHAT?!” 🤯💩

Today we headed over to the north side to with all our props, characters and curious little minds ready to explore what happens inside the human body.

First stop… the digestive system.

We built it piece by piece with our organs and props, figuring out where food travels once it leaves our plate.

Then the fun really began…

We created a rainbow of foods using colourful fruit and veggie props.

👃👀👂 We used our senses to explore food in our mindful eating circle. And yes… there were blindfold taste tests involved.

But the BEST part?

That moment when it all clicks.

When the kids suddenly realise:

why we eat food, where it goes in the body… and where the stuff we don’t need ends up.

Cue the giggles. 😂

I absolutely love watching those aha moments happen in real time.

Curiosity turns into understanding…and understanding turns into healthier choices.

A huge thank you for having me again today and letting me bring the Digestive Factory to life.

I’m so grateful I get to share this message with the next generation. 💛

When I was younger girl living with day to day panic attacks, I found a book that helped me realise I wasn’t alone.

Living With It by Bev Aisbett.

Years later I wrote my own book sharing the story I once felt ashamed of… because I never want another young girl to feel that alone.

And the most surreal part?

Bev read my book and wrote a testimonial that now sits at the front of it.

Why do kids get all the fun? 😆

Most people think wellness talks are just…

Eat this.
Don’t eat that.

But the truth is... learning sticks when people are curious, laughing and actually experiencing it.

In my adult workshops we experiment, ask questions, challenge assumptions and have a lot of fun along the way.

Because when people enjoy the process…
they remember the message.

Things kids and parents hear in my workshops and immediately yell… “WHAT?!”

After running hundreds of nutrition workshops with kids, there are always a few facts that completely blow their minds.

Not because they’re complicated…
but because no one has ever explained the body to them this way.

And once kids (and adults!) understand how their body works…they start making better choices naturally.

Curiosity brings great learning moments.

I never run the same workshop twice.

Kids are curious.
They ask the BEST questions.

Sometimes a workshop on digestion turns into a conversation about anxiety…
or lunchboxes…
or why broccoli makes people fart.

And honestly… that’s where the real learning happens.

🎤 Schools across Australia invite me in to make nutrition and wellbeing fun, interactive and memorable.

Because kids don’t learn best from slides.
They learn from curiosity.

I was sorting through old photos on my laptop… and found these!!

One of my very first workshops.

At the time, I was running a busy clinic helping women with anxiety, hormones and gut health.

Then a local kids gym I worked at asked me to run something fun for the local schools.

I had no slides.
No props.
No brand.
No idea what I was doing.

But I knew it had to be hands-on with lots of visuals.

Because that’s how I learn!

A couple of teachers saw what I was up to… and encouraged me to reach out to others.

And from there, everything started to grow.

It’s funny how the things that feel small at the time end up shaping your whole career path.

Grateful I said yes.

And yes, that’s my two boys. They had the best time even helping from the beginning!

Behind the scenes of my weekend 🫶🏼

Morning: Liam’s highly unqualified aqua aerobics instructor era.
Afternoon: 35 rooms of chaos and teamwork.
Evening: Laughter with friends.

I move my body because it gives me energy.
Not because I “have to.”

Big difference.

No one knew what was happening to me that night. We were just kids.

And I had my first panic attack. I didn’t have language for it.
No one around me did. It was confusing. Overwhelming.
And incredibly lonely.

My cousin was there... and she has no idea how safe that made me feel.

Years later, to stand beside her... holding the story I once couldn’t explain... felt like something I can’t quite put into words.

Almost 30 years later...full circle.

This work didn’t start as workshops.

It didn’t start as speaking.

It started with a child trying to understand her own body.

And now I teach kids what I wish I had known then: That anxiety isn’t weakness. That your nervous system is trying to protect you. That you’re not broken... you’re building capacity.

Moments like this remind me why I do what I do.

If I had a dollar for every time a parent wrote “My child is fussy with food” on my consent forms… I’d have a lot of dollars!

And here’s what I’ve learnt after years in rooms with kids:

It’s rarely about the broccoli.

Sometimes it’s sensory.

Sometimes it’s neurodivergence.

And often... it’s nervous system safety.

Safe bodies digest. Safe bodies explore.

When we remove pressure and add play, curiosity grows. And guess what?! Those fussy kids often try new things!

It’s so much more than food.

I don’t just teach nutrition. I empower kids on how their nervous system works so their body feels safe enough to try.

Save this for the next dinner meltdown 💛

Most speakers share information.
I change the energy in the room.

I’m not just a “corporate” speaker.

I’m comedian-meets-educator-meets-nutritionist.

Because funny is where memory sticks.

People don’t remember slides.
They remember stories.
They remember laughing.
They remember how it felt in the room.

That’s how learning lands.

When I speak, I use:
- humour
- storytelling
- science made simple
- yes… even digestion jokes (always age-appropriate 😅)

Whether it’s kids, teens, parents or corporate teams, the goal isn’t information overload.

It’s:
• lightbulb moments
• nervous systems softening
• people leaving excited about change

If you want a speaker who brings warmth, laughter and learning... not just another PowerPoint…

I’m your person.

DM me or head to the link in bio.

My kids have seen me fail.... over and over again.

They’ve watched me doubt myself.
They’ve watched me spend months building something from nothing.
They’ve watched me walk into jobs that scare me.

And they’ve watched me come out the other side.

Growth doesn’t feel calm.

When we uplevel in business, health or life, the nervous system reacts.

Anything unfamiliar feels risky.
And risk triggers a response.

Heart racing. Mind questioning. Body buzzing. Restless nights.

Not because something is wrong.
Because you’re expanding.

Years ago, speaking on stage challenged my nervous system more than anything.
Now I understand what’s happening in my body.

And that changes everything.

Resilience isn’t about eliminating nerves.

It’s about increasing capacity.

Every time we stretch and reset, we build that capacity.

And here’s the part I care about most:

Our kids are watching.

They’re not just watching our success.
They’re watching how we regulate.
How we recover.
How we keep going.

When we strengthen our nervous system, we strengthen our gut, our immune system, our overall wellbeing.

Resilience is physiological.

It’s built in the body.

And I want my kids to see that growth is uncomfortable...but safe.

This is why my work goes beyond nutrition.

I teach kids how their nervous system works.
How growth feels in the body.
And how to build resilience in both mind and body.

Because when children understand their physiology, they build confidence that lasts far beyond the classroom.
