Thank you for taking the time to meet with us this morning. It was a pleasure to share our work across all our areas — Our Veterans Forge, Our Veterans Haven, and the Veteran Lawn Bowls Support Group — and to discuss opportunities to collaborate in supporting veteran families.
Your insights and passion for improving outcomes for veterans and their loved ones are truly inspiring. We look forward to your next visit to Perth and would welcome the opportunity to meet with you in person at any of our programs to further explore how we can work together to strengthen support for veteran families in our community.

THE POTTERY COTTAGE

The Pottery Cottage has been coming along well over the last few weeks.
This building combined with the generous grant from PEACH that has purchased a pottery kiln, supplied by , will enable Our Veteran’s Haven to deliver Pottery lessons from 2026.

Thank to all those who have put in the sweat equity to get the Pottery Cottage to this stage.

Watch this space for more progress over the coming weeks and for our first pottery classes.

TRAIN CARRIAGE ART STUDIO - FLOORS AND DOORS WEEK

The team at Our Veteran’s Haven made some really big steps towards completing the Train Carriage Art Studio this week.

The new flooring was laid by Lee Cooper and Martin and the look fantastic. It is awesome to see new skills being developed and results at such a high level. Well done Team Tommy-Lee.

The pressure was then on to fit the door to achieve lock-up and protect this beautiful floors. So we paired up a Warfare Officer and and Electrician to resize and fit a reclaimed door… what could go wrong! Well the truth is the outcome after a few adjustments was a winner. One working door ✅. Thanks to Pawly for helping to fit the door and coaching the non techo.

So the Art Studio is now read for elctricity to be connected next week followed by Trims, decking and furnishing.

This has bee a true team effort of a renovation, building our veterans community as we create.

OUR VETERAN’s HAVEN POTTERY PROGRAM SUPPORT FROM PEACH

Our Veteran’s Haven is excited to share that we have received support from PEACH - Personnel Employed at Alcoa Charity Help to purchase a pottery kiln and equipment.

OVH is extremely grateful for the opportunity to acquire the equipment to set up our Pottery Cottage (watch this space for construction updates).

The kiln and equipment will enable us to deliver a new pottery program to Veterans and First Responders. (The PEACH Pottery Program sounds pretty good to us 😁). The program will become a unique and ongoing offering for Veteran’s and First Responders in WA (free of charge.

Thank you to the Alcoa employees past and present who donate to PEACH - Personnel Employed at Alcoa Charity Help. We are glad to work with you to deliver this program to our community.
