IPL SHR (Super Hair Removal) Treatments

IPL SHR is a superior thermal light based permanent hair removal treatment, delivering gentle, swift and painless reduction of unwanted hair anywhere on the face and body.

SHR hair removal treatments, use a unique square wave light pulse to heat the skin surface only up to 45°C, while traditional IPL or pure laser hair removal treatments heat up to 75°C. Outcomes

Treatment sensation, if any is experienced, is mild. Immediately following treatment some tenderness and redness may be experienced for a day or two. It usually takes ten days to two weeks before the hair is actually shed, sometimes this cannot be visually seen compared to older laser treatment which often burn the hair off immediately. Therefore until that time it may appear as if hair is still growing, as the hair is pushed to the surface. But it will fall out within two weeks of treatment.

The total number of treatment sessions needed to remove hair permanently varies from person to person and will be determined on consultation and during progress. To fully treat an area, you may require 10-15 treatments at 4-6 week intervals for body areas or at 2-3 week intervals for face areas - until complete. Permanent removal is via numerous sessions covering the entire hair growth cycle.
