Full Moon Tarot & Divination

Full Moon Tarot & Divination This page is just my small little space to explore Tarot and divination. My name is Tara and I have been studying and reading the tarot for almost half my life.

I endeavor to provide honest and compassionate readings for anyone who wants to know the truth about their place in this life. I offer affordable, in-depth readings that aren't "charged by the minute" ~ you will get the reading you need not necessarily the reading you may want. While I am honest and ethical, I won't lie and feed you a fairytale ~ that would only serve to hurt you in the end.

Card of the Day ~ Five of Cups {Guardian of the Night Tarot, created by MJ Cullinane} The state of the element in a card can tell us a lot about what is going on ~ here we have five cups, three of which are in various states of destruction with no real possibility of being pout back together. Each of these cups represents a hope or dream or attachment that has broken or not come to pass, and the shattered feeling that comes with having that loss. There are however, two cups that are still standing tall and whole, ready to be of use whenever we need. Those two cups stands as an invitation to understand that not all is lost, there is something for you to take from this situation with you when you move on. It is terribly cliche, but as the Rolling Stones said, you can’t always get what you want, but you just might find you get what you need. This isn’;t an easy or fun card; it denotes loss and disappointment, a setback of some sort. Allow yourself time to process your emotions ~ ignoring them just means they come back in more destructive ways later. Repression isn’t chic. The Five of Cups does though as you to acknowledge the loss and and the pain, then restore balance by letting go of what can not be repaired. Holding on to broken glass will just keep you cut and you won’t be able to heal or move on. The Death’s Head Hawk Moth is drawn to the light ~ use it’s instincts to take you to better places, see the good in others, lighten your days.

Those who know me know I love op shops and markets and dollar stores - they can be such treasure troves!

Lately from my shopping adventures I’ve started a little village in my front yard - I’ve got three little houses (I even have outdoor furniture!) scattered about. This morning on my way to do readings at Wonderland I saw this right outside my door. I know there’s probably a perfectly rational explanation for it but part of me also wants to think it’s the Faeries saying thank you 🧚‍♀️

Have an awesome weekend whatever you are doing!

Tomorrow I will be giving in-person readings at the divine Wonderland Bookshop & Emporium along the Redcliffe waterfront from 10am - 4pm.

I will be reading Tarot Cards, Witch’s Runes and Crone Stones for only $20 per 15 minutes. Readings can be short Yes/No affairs (15 mins) decent detail (30-45 mins) or deep dives (60-90 mins)

I will also be giving Ogham castings for $50 (approx 1 hour) These are on a special introductory price as the Ogham is a relatively new skill set for me.

All this in a cosy, fairy lit attic space surrounded by hundreds of books and beautiful curiosities. Pretty damn blissful.

If you’re keen to get in on the divination goodness, DM or email tarafullmoontarot@gmail.com

Card of the Day ~ High Priestess {Guardian of the Night Tarot, created by MJ Cullinane} Now you may be looking at this and thinking “A bat for the High Priestess? Would have thought that suited the Hanged Man better?” Which I admit, was my original thought. Then the creator explains that here, the bat is hanging here in the night air, taking it all in without needing to act on every breezier that brushes by it’s head. This is High Priestess energy and I get it. The High Priestess resides in the part of the soul that is silent, deep, sitting in your intuition, helping you focus on the information that is relevant to you ~ and spoiler alert, it if often not what you may have expected it to be, nor does it come from traditional sources. Wisdom comes from some real out of the box places ~ we are talking of course of intuition but also synchronicities, dreams, hunches. The High Priestess is about accessing the deep well of wisdom we carry within us, which lies beneath our conscious minds and carries all kinds of knowledge ~ ancestral knowledge passed down through blood or culture, lessons learned in childhood (both conscious and unconsciously)connection to nature, spirit and our body. The answers you’re seeking are in that well of wisdom, sometimes they are in the challenges we face when going to that part of ourselves. The High Priestess is asking you to go deep, be passive & receptive. The High Priestess is not afraid of the shadows and gently encourages us to look at what is uncomfortable. Knowing our fears helps facilitate a deep knowing of ourselves.

This Saturday I will be getting down and funky with my Tarot cards giving in-person readings at the delightful Wonderland Bookshop & Emporium along the Redcliffe waterfront.

You, me, the cosy attic space upstairs with fairy-lights and the Tarot cards = ideal Saturday activity.

Readings are only $20 per 15 minutes, and can be as short as a quick 15 minute Yes/No or as long as an in-depth 60-90 minute session with a nice medium of 30-45 minutes. This is so you can tailor your readings to your needs rather then have a structure imposed on you by me.

There are spots still available and I would love to read for you. If you’re interested, DM or email tarafullmoontarot@gmail.com to book your spot at the Tarot table

Card of the Day ~ Knight of Cups {Midnight Magic Tarot, created by Sara Richard} This card is represented by the Purple Laccaria, a beautiful mushroom that manifest creativity and calm the same way the Knight of Cups. This is a safe mushroom for us humans and has a network of threads that nourishes surrounding tree roots. The Knight of Cups is a card of compassion, altruism and charm. All the Knights have their own charm, and the Cups Knight is Mr Romantic, a sensitive soul who is looking to fill their heart with all things beautiful, be it poetry, art, romantic relationships…you get what I mean. Knights are also on quests, and the quest here for the Knight of Cups is to find what fills their cup, and r they do a lot of experimenting to find out. There’s a lot of feeling here, but not enough form yet. That doesn’t mean they don’t take the quest seriously ~ on the contrary, they are most serious about beauty, freedom and love (couldn’t help the Moulin Rouge reference) the strength here is the ability to surrender, which is an important part of a spiritual journey. The advice here? Lead with your heart, embrace vulnerability and pursue your passions boldly.

Card of the Day ~ Ten of Wands {Midnight Magic Tarot, created by Sara Richard} This card is represented by the Blackening Waxcaps, a mushroom that turns from a brilliant orange to a glossy black as they age. This aligns well with the energy of the Ten of Wands, which is essentially a card about burn out. I don’t always see Tens as the end of a cycle in the Tarot, sometimes they are more like the extreme of their suit and something that needs to be recovered from or worked through. Here, we have the extreme of the Fire element of Wands ~ rather then energetic, enthusiastic and passionate, we are tired, no real interest or excitement brewing and no excitement, just living in survival mode. This is a card of burden and overwhelm, and often it’s from our own good intentions! Think of each of the Ten Wands (or Blackening Waxcaps in this case) as something you have taken on, and were happy to take on at the time. One Wands is fine, we can carry that…add a few more, all good, we’ve got this…a couple more, ok, it’s getting a bit much but no worries, we can do it…until we are carrying so much that we can barely breathe. The weight of all of these responsibilities is heavy, and possibly getting to the point where it may be affecting your health. I don’t use Tarot for medical readings, but those that do stay that when Wands is ill-aspected like it is here, you can expect migraines, shoulder and back issues, headaches, neck aches, that kind of thing. It’s a sign your body is going to stop you if you don’t stop yourself. The Ten of Wands is an invitation to re-evaluate exactly what you are carrying, why you are carrying it and whether you really need to carry it anymore. Things can’t stay as they are as this is a breaking point of some kind. While it is lovely to be able to help, do all the things, be of service, there has to be some rest in there. As much as Wands folk love to be all go go go, this card is saying no no no. Have a rest, take stock of all you have on your plate and see what can go elsewhere.

Next Saturday, I will also be offering Ogham Castings Wonderland Bookshop & Emporium

Ogham is the ancient Irish alphabet of Trees, and provides a wonderful grounding and spiritual reading. As this is still a new skill set for me, I am offering Ogham castings for the lower price of $50 for a one hour casting. Yes, I talk that much.

If the Ogham sounds intriguing (as well it should, it is fascinating!) and you’re happy to come to the casting circle with an open mind and heart to help me sharpen my skills, I would love to cast for you! DM or email tarafullmoontarot@gmail.com

My next couple of reading dates are going to be fortnightly due to all of the public holidays in April then will revert to every three weeks instead of every four.

I’m sure that was super interesting to you all, but the gist of that is ~ I will be back at Wonderland Bookshop & Emporium next Saturday getting down and funky with my not so inner Divination Diva, giving in-person readings and spreading funky vibes.

Readings are held in the cosy attic nook that is air conditioned and super cute with all of the fairy lights and bird cages that I once heard a patron describe as “exactly like something I saw in the Village in New York” They are only $20 for 15 every 15 minutes and can be as short or long as you like!

If you’re keen to book yourself a session, DM or email tarafullmoontarot@gmail.com to secure your spot at the Tarot Table
