this is no shame to the coach, obviously different approaches benefit different people and you should do what feels most natural to you and what you believe works โœจ

but moreso to the people CHOOSING a coach, make sure they work WITH your body and mind, not against you ๐ŸŒน

even little things like the way you are spoken to can trigger some individuals into a downwards spiral of self-hate and even LOUDER negative self-talk, constantly beating themselves up and feeling even MORE โ€˜not good enoughโ€™ ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

or feeling physically frozen from overwhelm, exhaustion and even leading on to develop serious health issues/chronic illness from pushing beyond what they are capable of and constantly over-riding their bodies ๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

everyone has a different capacity and you donโ€™t know what itโ€™s like to live in someone elseโ€™s body/mind ๐Ÿง

People think bodybuilding is just walking around on stage in a bikini, hyper-fixation on the body and extreme restriction with food, often leading to eating disorders etc ๐Ÿ‘™

But bodybuilding is really just a sport of the mind ๐Ÿง

I decided to join my first show just after Cov*d when I was going through a rough breakup, surviving off peanut butter sandwiches and coffee for literally 5 months, I didnโ€™t want to be here anymore, I was extremely malnourished, had no appetite due to my mental health and stumbled across a picture of all dressed up in her theme wear and discovered which I describe as Victoriaโ€™s Secret for muscly people ๐Ÿ’Ž
I LOVE the glitz and the glam, the individuality we get to express through our bikini fashion designs and posing routines that are almost like a dance ๐Ÿ‘‘

Bodybuilding helped me add more structure into my life again in times of need, it helped me nourish myself better, showed me what Iโ€™m capable of when I set my mind to something and drives my purpose behind constantly working to beat MYSELF ๐Ÿ’Œ

Itโ€™s not just about the physique ~ itโ€™s showing up to do the hard thing, stretching your capacity for more, becoming intentional with your time and energy, and stepping into your alter-ego or โ€˜characterโ€™ on stage which can help you get out of your comfort zone in many other areas of life ๐Ÿ’ฃ

๐Ÿ• adding a few extra 45min dog walks a week
๐Ÿซ reigning in the sweets and tidying up the extras (caramel syrup in coffee, portioning out chocolate, eating with intention)

Before people come at me, this isnโ€™t directed at people using peptides for actual injury healing and genuine health reasons ๐Ÿ’‰

Itโ€™s showing the ones who are always wanting the next quick fix/easy way out/instant results, that โ€˜toolsโ€™ like reta and ozempic are being way too over-used itโ€™s actually mind boggling - there is no โ€˜free lunchโ€™ if you know what I mean.. ๐Ÿซ 

Youโ€™d be surprised what you can achieve on your own ๐Ÿ‘€

DIALLING IN on the basics, ACTUALLY learning about your body, following a plan and finding a routine you can STICK to will get you further than jumping on the next trend because youโ€™re too impatient, or simply not trying hard enough ๐Ÿ’ฅ
