Most of us mean well when setting New Year’s resolutions, but they are often unrealistic and rigid. When life inevitably ‘gets in the way’ and our resolutions fall to the wayside, it can make us feel like we’ve failed.

Instead, we encourage thinking about the new year as an approach to life, rather than a checklist to complete. One that’s flexible enough to adapt to changing circumstances, and focused on growth rather than perfection. 🌿

Being kind to yourself when things don’t go as planned is an ongoing practice, and continuing to move toward what matters to you, even in small ways, is still meaningful progress.

Wishing you all the best for 2026, and reminding you that support is available if you need it. 💛

In my work as a relationship counsellor, I often meet couples who feel unsure about what counselling will actually be like.

Many worry about being judged or blamed, and others hope that therapy will ‘fix’ their partner.

In reality, relationship counselling is a space to understand each other more clearly, and explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

My role isn’t to take sides or decide who’s right. It’s to support the relationship, while recognising each person’s experience.

If you’re curious about relationship counselling, you’re welcome to get in touch to learn more or ask questions.

If you tend to overthink, your mind might spend a lot of time trying to control things that simply aren’t yours to carry. ⛈️

A gentle reminder that some things are within your control, but many things aren’t.

A psychologist can help you learn the tools to tell the difference and bring yourself back to what you can influence right now. 💛

Starting therapy can feel like a big step so we aim to make booking your first appointment as simple and supportive as possible. ☺️

You can begin therapy with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, or by booking directly with us.

If you’re not sure which pathway is right for you, our team is always happy to help you decide.

You don’t have to have it all figured out, just start where you are. 🌿

We know how important it is to feel truly understood, especially when you’re talking about your mental health. 💛

That’s why we’re proud to share that Andrea, one of our psychologists, offers therapy in both English and Spanish.

Spanish is Andrea’s first language, and she has extensive experience supporting people from Latin American backgrounds who are now living in Australia.

Andrea works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, complex mental health concerns, and the challenges that can come with chronic illness or pain. Her approach is thoughtful, compassionate, and grounded in helping people feel safe, heard, and supported.

Andrea is currently on leave and will be returning in early January. If you’ve been looking for a Spanish-speaking psychologist, we look forward to welcoming you soon.

When anxiety hits, it can feel urgent and hard to escape.

The goal in these moments isn’t to make it disappear but help your nervous system settle, even just a little. 🌿

These small strategies won’t fix everything, but they can help you feel more grounded and supported in the moment. 💛
