Another dinner, another 💩. The last time I shared a dinner reel I was told I was a bad parent - we’re all doing our best Karen & every dinner time looks different. Some days it’s as a family, some days it’s the kids at 4pm and the adults at 6pm. It is one of the most hectic times of the day but still my favourite! ❤️ no matter how many bums I have to wipe 😂😂

Not going to lie - the third child hits different! Don’t get me wrong, it is absolute chaos, but I’ve never felt so comfortable and appreciative in my role as a mum. I don’t care (as much) what people think, I love my children even more than I did (if that’s possible) and I definitely realise how fast time moves and how precious the moments are. Here are some things I’m doing differently!

Did you know a recent Australian study found that 1 in 3 one-year-olds and 2 in 3 three-year-olds have low iron? If you’ve ever had a toddler who suddenly decides beige is a food group (and nothing else), you’ll soon understand why iron can become a worry in motherhood (i’ve outlined the FACTS in this blog post).
Iron is one of the most important nutrients for growing children. It supports:
• Oxygen transport (via haemoglobin)�• Brain development�• Neurotransmitter production (including dopamine)�• Immune function�• Healthy sleep patterns 🫣🫣🫣

A deficiency can also cause poor appetite!

And yet, iron deficiency remains one of the most common nutrient deficiencies in infants and young children in Australia and worldwide (surprising I know!

I created this waffle recipe because my boys have been off iron rich foods for a while & I’ve been trying to find a way a new way to add whole iron + c into foods. They LOVE these waffles and have them for breakfast & afternoon tea. Sometimes I increase the egg content to 5, they really are a great breakfast to start the day ✅✅

Comment “recipe” and I’ll send it your way. Not going to lie, these have saved me this week with post school/daycare tantrums. They have gone through a whole batch and now asking for more. I add immune protein (of course) for the added nutrients after a long day. I find that one satiates them until dinner without spoiling their dinner (if you get what I mean!). I’m going to try a raspberry white choc version of this muffin and let you know if it’s any good! ❤️❤️

If you told me one year ago how many homes would be in after 9 months of business, I wouldn’t believe you! I’ve worked so hard over the years and risked a lot (including my mental health). I’ve “started” so many businesses, spent months paying of business debts, launched businesses to absolute crickets & swallowed the harsh reality of failure more times than I can count. The difference with this business is that it solved a problem for me first. Once realising I needed it for my own children I realised it could also be needed by other families. Still, I doubted myself and took a risk with a bunch of anxiety in my belly (because that’s usually what I do 😂). I was so close to not placing my first order of immune protein (which was a huge investment) but I’m so glad I did. The number of families has helped makes all of the stress (alongside kids) 100% worth it. Thank you for your support, patience & love while we navigate this business! If there are any products you want to see in 2026 please let us know! We have a couple up our sleeve (all developed because I want them myself) but we’d love to hear from YOU.

COMMENT “recipe” or “plants” and I’ll send you our family’s fav butter chicken. Also when I refer to 30 plant foods this includes herbs, spices, nuts, seeds, fruit AND vegetables. I’ve also added an option in this recipe to increase iron content if your child will only eat chicken & not red meat ❤️❤️

Seriously - I don’t know who shared this hack but I started doing this when my first child was 6 months old and now I have 3 children and we still send each emails. We also send photos, videos… I love looking back at old emails and remembering funny quirks about each child. With my first child starting school this week I’ve been feeling like 5 years has absolutely flown by so I wanted to share with my fellow mums feeling emotional - this is a way to keep the memories in one place! 😭❤️ tag or share with a fellow parent
