Weight loss in menopause looks different… and that’s not a failure — it’s wisdom.
I stopped punishing my body and started listening to it.
●No exhausting cardio marathons.
●No extremes.
●No fighting my physiology.
Instead, I focused on what my body actually needed:
●Nourishing nutrition that supported my hormones
●Long walks to clear my mind and calm my nervous system
●Pilates to lengthen, strengthen, and reconnect
●Weights to build muscle, protect my metabolism, and feel strong
And let's be honest, there were days I didn’t do any of it, and it wasn't a 10 week transformation, this so far is over 4 months of kindness and slow progress....which is wonderful!
As women age, hormone shifts naturally reduce muscle mass. And without muscle, our body’s ability to fuel itself efficiently and burn fat declines. This is why building muscle isn’t optional in midlife — it’s essential.
Nutrition needs to shift too, because what you eat truly matters in this phase of life. My results have come from applying what I know about food, nutrients, and tailoring support to the individual — not a one-size-fits-all approach. When foundations aren’t in place first, adding supplements or high-protein products often isn’t as effective as people hope, which is why addressing underlying factors is so important.
I’m a big believer in a team approach to health. A qualified PT can help you learn safe, effective form and build strength with confidence. Practitioners like chiros, bodyworkers, and massage therapists can support muscular tension and recovery, while your doctor plays an essential role in medical care and routine health checks such as blood work.
Different professionals serve different purposes, and when they work together, you get the best outcomes.
Menopause isn’t the end of feeling good in your body — it’s the beginning of doing it differently.
So if youre reading this and its the sign you need to get your body strong, so you can live well, I'm here with the protocols to help you. And trusting the process is the first step.
You don’t need to go harder.
You need to go smarter.
