All the things.

We're all doing our best right now.

Thank you for the glimmers yesterday.
My internet has been trash and won't load properly or let me comment on things.

My brain is also trash and needs to be rebooted.

Thanks for being here.

⚠️Medicine shortage update – Substitutions approved for shortage of Catapres (clonidine) 150 mcg tablets⚠️

Pharmaceutical company Clinect has told us that Catapres (clonidine) 150 microgram (mcg) tablets will be in shortage from December 2025 to April 2026 due to manufacturing issues.

Clonidine tablets are used for essential hypertension and renal hypertension. The 100 mcg tablets are also used for menopausal flushing and migraine prophylaxis. Clonidine is also used off-label for various conditions including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), chronic pain and cancer pain.

Catapres is the only brand of clonidine 150 mcg tablets supplied in Australia.

However, we expect the following 3 brands of 100 mcg clonidine tablets to remain available during the shortage of Catapres 150 mcg tablets:
• Catapres 100 mcg
• APO Clonidine 100 mcg
• Clonidine Lupin 100 mcg

To help patients have continuous access to their medicine, especially considering the holiday season, we have made a Serious Scarcity Substitution Instrument (SSSI) that starts on 22 December 2025 and ends on 28 April 2026.

The SSSI allows a pharmacist to dispense an equivalent quantity of clonidine 100 mcg tablets, if appropriate, without a new prescription.

So here’s my annual reminder that December for Neurodivergent people can look different… and how I curate this time for my autistic, adhd ++ brain.

- Safe Food Buffet at Christmas Feasts: amongst the turkey and Xmas pudding, you will find a selection of breakfast cereals, beige food and favourite fruits.

- Quiet Escapes: absolute non-negotiable access to quiet, people-free escapades in the garden, our bedrooms or hunting for kindling for the fire… without question, without others’ drama or worry if we are ok- we are ok because we do this.

- Extra access to our spins, pattern creations or movements for regulation. For me this looks like playing with clay, gardening, reading, swimming, creating, play, music.

- Moments of too much, too loud, too big, too quiet, too everything- with complete acceptance and safe containers. My supports know December/January is a time without predictably or routine- something my ADHD brain loves, but my Autistic parts get a bit overwhelmed by. So my safe containers (the people and structures I have in place to support me) are there for safety, but with full acceptance of the expression of these different parts. Play, Energy, Excitement but also quite likely… sleep ins, slow days, sloth-like. So we PLAN for the differences.

Have the December you have!!

From our team to you- wishing all of our clients, families and supporters a safe and healthy Christmas.
Yesterday we celebrated the end of the working year, signposting for our team to take their official CPR (connection, pause, reflect break). We will be back in the office Jan 5th.

Personally, I would like to express my deep gratitude to our fabulous team, who through ups, downs, sideways and upside downs, have always maintained their focus on making healthcare safe and accessible for our clients.
I am so proud to lead a team of people who are passionate about wellbeing, and centre it before everything else.

In 2025 we have welcomed Ash, Sophie, Kate, Chantelle, Jewel, Sonya, Stacey, Josie, Anna and Daylene to our team. Their contributions have been extraordinary! Whether through delivering new services or bringing flair to our client care team, we have been so lucky! Our student healthcare practitioners have very much learnt, honed their skills and delivered excellent service to their clients.

In 2026, we say goodbye (for now) to Krishia, Alice, Sonya, Josie, Ash and Ella. For each of these incredible women, life is opening up in many extraordinary ways; study, motherhood and family. We are so grateful for the energy and creativity they each brought to The Waratah Centre. Big thanks for Big hearts!

The 2026 Line Up/Role Call:
Hayley, Bron, Daylene, Kate, Jewel, Anna, Chantelle, Sophie, Stacey, Taliah, and Jess.

Thank you for all your support in 2025

Something for our creatives

SBS is calling for bold, thought-provoking factual series — with up to $50,000 in development funding available.

We want innovative formats that push creative boundaries, spark national conversations and embody the SBS Charter (think The People vs Robodebt, The Hospital: In The Deep End). Targeting broad audiences — especially 35–55 — with fresh storytelling, daring experiments, exclusive access, or inventive formats.

Head of SBS Unscripted, Joseph Maxwell, said: “At SBS we are always looking for bold new ideas that push boundaries. We want to work with the production community to deliver distinctive Australian content that matters. Our initiatives consistently deliver landmark shows – most recently, The People vs Robodebt. We are encouraging risk taking and innovation with SBS’s audience and Charter always front of mind.“

Submission details:
• SBS is seeking original factual format ideas ranging from three to eight episodes of up to one hour each in duration.
• Project proposals should be no more than four pages, and submissions must include a title, a logline and a single paragraph synopsis. Please include a short paragraph on how you hope to spend the development funds and a list of deliverables if successful.
• Submissions must be emailed to the SBS Factual pitching portal factual@sbs.com.au - with the subject line ‘New Factual Format Call out’. Please note all submissions will receive an acknowledgement email, but only successful applications will receive a feedback email due to volume.
• All applications must be eligible for state and/or federal documentary funding programs.
• Entries are now open and will close Friday 9 February 2026.
