Ball Abilities is a small, close-knit support worker business built on trust, consistency and genuine care 🤍

We operate like a family, taking the time to truly understand each participant and provide reliable, familiar support.

As a fully registered NDIS provider, we support Self-Managed, Plan-Managed and NDIA-Managed participants. We tailor our support to whatever you need help with — at home, in the community, with daily tasks, appointments, activities or personal goals.

We also offer specialised basketball training and sport-based support as an optional add-on for participants who enjoy it — however, basketball is only one part of what we do, not a requirement.

Our experienced support workers focus on building independence, confidence and meaningful connections.

At Ball Abilities, you’re never just a number — you’re part of our family.

💛 Support that meets you where you’re at 💛

At Ball Abilities, we provide NDIS support work across the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding areas, supporting people to live life their way.

Whether it’s in-home support, getting out into the community, or working towards your individual NDIS goals, our support workers are here with a calm, respectful and no-judgement approach.

We believe support should feel:

✔ Safe
✔ Genuine
✔ Encouraging
✔ Tailored to you

There’s no pressure and no expectations — just people who genuinely care, take the time to listen, and walk alongside you at your pace.

If you or someone you love is looking for reliable, compassionate support, we’re here when you’re ready 🤍

🌟 Why the NDIS Matters — and How Ball Abilities Supports Your Goals 🌟

The NDIS is life-changing for so many individuals and families. It provides the support, flexibility, and funding needed for people with disabilities to build skills, gain confidence, and participate more fully in everyday life — including sport.

At Ball Abilities, we see firsthand how important this is. Basketball becomes more than just a game — it becomes a pathway to:

✔️ Improved physical health
✔️ Stronger social skills and communication
✔️ Increased confidence and independence
✔️ Community connection and a sense of belonging
✔️ Emotional wellbeing through fun, movement, and positive experiences

As a fully registered NDIS provider, we are here to help participants reach their NDIS goals through tailored, person-centred support. Whether goals focus on:

🏀 Building motor skills
🏀 Developing social interactions
🏀 Boosting fitness and coordination
🏀 Increasing community participation
🏀 Learning to work as part of a team

— our programs are designed to meet each participant where they are and help them grow safely and confidently.

We use structured sessions, clear communication, gradual progression, and supportive coaching to ensure every player feels understood, valued, and set up for success.

Because at Ball Abilities, it’s not just about basketball.

It’s about unlocking potential, celebrating strengths, and helping every participant achieve their own version of success — both on and off the court.

💜 How NDIS Support Workers Help People with Autism

NDIS support workers play a vital role in helping people with autism live more independent, confident, and fulfilling lives. They provide tailored assistance based on each person’s goals, routines, and communication style. This can include help with daily living tasks, developing social skills, building healthy routines, accessing community activities, or simply having someone patient and understanding to guide them through challenges.
Support workers can also work alongside families, therapists, and teachers to create consistent strategies that make learning and social interaction easier. By creating structure, reducing anxiety, and encouraging participation, they help individuals build confidence and independence.

🧩 Why This Support Is So Important

Autism affects people differently — there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Support workers make sure each person’s needs, preferences, and strengths are respected. This not only improves practical life skills but also emotional wellbeing, inclusion, and belonging in the community.
Through the NDIS, these supports empower people with autism to reach personal goals, connect with others, and thrive — whether that’s through sport, social programs, or everyday life skills.
