Sarah has worked extensively in private practice and local football clubs for the past 5 years with her own athletic back ground proving to be a strong attribute in treating various clients. Her vast range of clientele have included footballers, triathletes, cyclists, swimmers, motor cyclists, jockeys, pre-and post natal women, as well as the general public. Sarah has an impressive athletic back ground in Triathlon, Sailing and long distance running. Multiple Gatorade Triathlon Series Age group winner and placing 2nd in Australia Age Group Olympic Distance Triathlon, as well as qualifying twice for the Age Group World Championships while studying physiotherapy. These days, Sarah enjoys competing in fun runs and recently placed first female in the Arthurs seat challenge. Sarah has always had a keen interest in the human body and this was heightened throughout her athletic career. Now a new mum with 2 year old daughter Mila Wendy, Sarah remains active and is keenly aware of the importance of correcting movement and maintaining mobility through preventative strategies like pilates to get the most out of your body. Sarah attends ongoing professional development seminars and courses regularly and is well informed and up to date with current evidence based physiotherapy knowledge and treatment techniques. Sarah has completed all 4 levels of the Dance Medicine Australia (DMA) Clinical Pilates repertoire as well as the DMA physiotherapist masters course in Clinical Pilates. Sarah also holds post graduate training in neuromuscular dry needling which can be used as an effective treatment modality to reduce pain and restore correct muscle function. Sarah believes strongly in treating her patients as a whole system and not purely looking at individual symptoms in isolation. With strong analytical skills she is able to interpret different presentations of pain and dysfunction and identify the underlying cause of such pain and movement dysfunction. Sarah enjoys working with goal oriented, motivated clients and she often finds her clients returning for assistance when pain strikes again which is always a complement. Sarah looks forward to assisting you with your goals soon!
