Noticing tiny dark dots after your laser treatment?

These are called MENDs (Microscopic Epidermal Necrotic Debris) and they’re a completely normal part of the healing process after fractional and pigment-targeting laser treatments such as Pixel Laser by

When the laser energy targets pigment and damaged skin cells, tiny columns of treated tissue are brought up to the skin’s surface. This can appear as small dark dots or a light “sandpaper” texture over the treated area.

Over the following days these micro-crusts naturally lift and flake away as the skin renews, revealing brighter, clearer and more even skin underneath. They are thought to represent the elimination of pigment and damaged keratinocytes following treatment.

Most patients notice MENDs settling within 5–7 days, depending on the treatment intensity.

✨ Post-treatment tip:
Keep your skin well moisturised and avoid picking or manual exfoliation while your skin heals.

Healing is part of the process and part of the results.

If you’ve visited SkinBox, chances are you’ve met Georgia, our Principal Dermal Therapist who is incredibly passionate about advanced skin treatments and achieving real, visible results for patients.

Her favourite treatment? She can’t pick just one.
Hydrafacial will always be her go-to for maintaining healthy, glowing skin year-round, while Alma laser treatments are her choice when it comes to deeper skin rejuvenation.

Georgia’s particular interests lie in laser and IPL treatments, especially ablative and vascular lasers, she loves seeing the instant skin response and transformation these treatments can achieve.

When she’s not in the clinic helping patients reach their skin goals, you’ll find her at Pilates, walking her cavoodle Maple, catching up with friends or at the beach.

☕ Coffee order: Almond long mac topped up
🍸 Favourite cocktail: Margarita
🐶 Can’t live without: Her furbaby Maple
🎶 Currently listening to: R&B, house and always a bit of Justin Bieber

One skin myth Georgia loves to bust:
You can’t undo a lifetime of sun damage with just one treatment and no home care. Great skin is a journey. Consistent treatments, active skincare and daily SPF make the difference.

If you’re serious about improving your skin, book in with Georgia for a personalised, results-driven plan.

✨ Meet Jordie ✨

Jordie is one of our talented dermal therapists who is passionate about helping patients feel like the most confident version of themselves, both in their skin and in everyday life.

Her favourite treatments are HydraFacial, for achieving healthy, glowing skin and Alma SoftLift, which she loves for its rejuvenating and skin-refreshing results.

When she’s not in the clinic, Jordie loves spending time with her partner, visiting friends and family down south in Busselton or heading away on a little getaway somewhere. She’s also a big fan of snowboarding holidays or a Euro summer adventure.

🍸 Favourite cocktail: Aperol Spritz
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Can’t live without: Her family
🐶 Pet: Gus the Labrador
🏋🏻‍♀️ Pilates or gym: Both… but Pilates lately
🎶 Music: Depends on the mood, but always comes back to Justin Bieber’s SWAG album

Skin myth Jordie loves to bust:
You don’t only need SPF on sunny days. UV exposure still occurs when it’s cloudy, so daily sun protection is essential for healthy skin.

Book in to see Jordie if you want to transform your skin!
