About my approach to counselling
I’m not the kind of counsellor who simply offers a place to vent or offload week after week. While being heard is important, meaningful change requires more than talking through the same story. I love working with people who are curious, reflective and willing to gently engage with the deeper patterns shaping their lives.
My approach is body–mind integrated. Alongside evidence-based counselling, I work with somatic awareness, breathwork, mindfulness and psychoeducation. We explore not only what has happened in your life, but how your nervous system and body have adapted in response to stress, relationships and emotional experiences.
I’m an active and directive practitioner, while remaining compassionate and attuned. I guide sessions, offer reflections and practical tools, and support you to build emotional regulation, clarity and self-trust. This is collaborative work, not passive therapy.
A core part of my work is inner child healing. Many of the challenges we face as adults — people-pleasing, self-doubt, difficulty setting boundaries, emotional reactivity or chronic overwhelm — began as intelligent survival strategies earlier in life. Together, we work gently with these younger parts, helping them feel seen and safe so they no longer need to run your adult life.
This work isn’t about blaming the past. It’s about understanding it, integrating it and creating new ways of relating to yourself and others.
If you’re ready to engage, reflect and do the work of real, embodied change, you’re very welcome here.
