Couldn’t really resist to try this golden frankincense from a Hermitage at Mt Athos Greece for Christmas… and it is quite soft warm and gentle.

Did you know that 'perfume' comes from a Latin term 'per fumum' which also means 'through smoke'? Incense was burned for millenia initially in ceremonies and purifications. The smoke was believed to carry our prayers to the heavens.

Each burn is an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to return to what is important in life. I, myself, have to constantly remind myself to SLOW DOWN and incense just takes me there. My favourites are our very own beautiful Sandalwood, the White Hojari Frankincense from Oman and the Palo Santo, which also means Holy Wood, from Peru. I am sure you have your favourites too :)
