YNA is now recruiting Personal Care Workers to work across Aged Care sites in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

To be considered, you’ll need to demonstrate:
• Certificate III or Cert IV in Aged Care/Individual Support
• A minimum of six months’ paid experience working in residential aged care.
• Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) or willingness to obtain.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• A genuine sense of empathy and compassion for the elderly is a must.

Last week we joined in the celebrations as sponsors at the Flinders University 3rd Year Nursing Graduation Event, where we had the opportunity to acknowledge two familiar faces from our YNA community.

Anna, who has been working with us as an AIN, has officially graduated and is now moving into the next stage of her nursing career. Sujan, who also works with YNA, graduated at the same ceremony.

We extend our congratulations to them both, and to all Flinders University nursing graduates as they take their next steps into the profession. 💙

YNA South Australia is currently seeking Community Nurses to support individuals and families where it matters most – in their homes and communities.

As a Community Nurse with YNA, you will:
• Deliver clinical assessments and in-home nursing care
• Support clients with chronic disease management, wound care, and post-acute needs
• Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families

You’ll enjoy above industry pay rates, flexible Monday to Friday shifts, opportunities for permanent or casual contracts, and a $500 referral and joining bonus for all YNA referrers and community nurses who subsequently join YNA and complete their first shift before the end of February 2026.

Today we pause to remember the courage, care and sacrifice of Australian nurses who have served in times of war and peace.

This Remembrance Day, our post features images from the Australian War Memorial photo archives, highlighting individual nurses of the Royal Australian Army Nursing Corps and the years they served. Behind every name and every photograph is a story of skill, compassion and quiet bravery.

Formed in February 1951 from the Royal Australian Army Nursing Service and the Australian Army Medical Women’s Service, the Royal Australian Army Nursing Corps has carried this legacy for 75 years.

We remember them, we honour them, and we say with gratitude:
