The crew had a quick break to refuel the aircraft, stretch their legs and make amendments to their flight plan due to air traffic control restrictions, before returning to Karratha this afternoon.

It was a late departure for our crew today. They were activated at 5pm, and departed at 5:30 pm, returning to Karratha at 1am.

Our Crew were activated this afternoon for a Medevac Mission. The patient retrieval was at Onslow and they were flown to Perth.

We had very good weather for the operation today. Despite some afternoon tropical thunderstorm activity building up in the Pilbara region, the active cells stayed away from our flight path for the entire flight.

Our Flight Crew, together with the Aspen Doctor and Paramedic competed a short training exercise this morning dealing with loading and unloading a critical patient in and out of the aircraft.
Well done to everyone who took part in the training today. It was good to see awesome teamwork as usual and a job well done overall.

Also a huge thank you to Eddie who supplied the Subway Wraps and other refreshments at the completion of the training.

Congratulations Jan and Andrew on the completion of your recurrent simulator training at LOFT today. You were the last of our crew to compete the program and we hope you had fun.

Also a huge thank you to Luke who spent just over 6 weeks in Carlsbad facilitating our training. Your efforts has not been unnoticed, and we’re sure that everyone has learnt a lot and gained a lot of experience from their training with you.
