I’ve had tears numerous times this week..happy tears due to the kindness within the MBF community.
We see it in the studio but I’ve recently seen and heard beautiful words of how this extends beyond the studio.
Genuinely listening and caring about one another, acts of kindness, support, compassion, generosity, cheerleading, hugs, smiles…the list goes on.
It’s a beautiful reminder that despite challenges, there is so much good in this world.
It restores my faith in humanity.
I love watching you all kick goals in movement but this…being a good human…this truely is everything to me! Xox 🤍🤍🤍

Shout out to the MBF community! 💖

Huge thank you to our super star instructors, Kirsty, Coby, Mel and Alex for managing the studio while I was away and to our amazing clients for adapting to timetable and instructor changes 🌟

I have come home to so many beautiful comments from both our instructors and clients.
Warms my heart.

Together we have created a space where people can breathe, move their body, connect with themselves and each other and leave feeling more uplifted than you did prior to arriving.
That’s pretty damn special! 💞

Ps. To those in this pic…I loved getting this and seeing your faces while I was away 🤩

One question we have been asked a lot about our trek is “how was the altitude?”

Honestly altitude was the hardest part of the trek.
As altitude increases, the air pressure decreases, and our body uses more effort to extract oxygen from each breath. Everyone’s body responds definitely to altitude and altitude sickness doesn’t discriminate.

Some altitude sickness symptoms are very common however pushing beyond can cause serious illness or death.
It was really important to let go of our ego, listen to our bodies and we kept communicating with each other and our guide.

Things we experienced -
🩵Heartbeat was huge, like you could feel it through your entire body!
🩵Breathing become shallow
🩵Nausea
🩵Fatigue
🩵Loss of appetite
🩵Difficulty sleeping
🩵Slight headaches

Things we did to support our body -
🩵Hydrate
🩵Ate even when we didn’t want to. We ate carbs for every meal!
🩵Moved slowly - the pace you’re moving is so slow you feel unfit! This plays with your emotions and mind. You have to remind yourself how amazing you’re doing!
🩵Rest - sometimes this meant 20 steps, then rest!
🩵Acclimatisation walks - even after trekking for hrs, we would take another walk to higher altitude, then descend to sleep at the lower altitude.
🩵No alcohol
🩵We had previously seen our doctor and had altitude medication on us as incase we needed it. Happy to say our bodies adapted and we didn’t have to use it.

It was tough to experience things in our bodies that we never have before and of course we had moments of doubt but we trusted our bodies to keep us alive and we had a great support system with each other!
Incredible experience on so many levels! Xox 🩵

Thorong La Pass
The highest trekable mountain pass in the world!
5416m above sea level.
Breathtaking….literally!

Tay set us a challenge and it’s safe to say it’s the hardest challenge I’ve ever accepted.
Every time I was challenged, I remembered my why.
My why was Tay and I was so proud to stand by her side at the pass today 💞

1st April and I’m still walking!
Last month I walked to raise awareness and money for cancer, now I’m walking for me.

The physical guidelines recommend 150 mins of moderate cardio per week (walking) or 75 mins of vigorous cardio (running).

I feel like walking can be really underrated.

Pop aside the amazing physical benefits of walking, lets chat some of the other benefits I feel from daily walks…

🌟some of you may not know majority of my day is spent on a computer. Walking makes me stop and get off my computer.

🌟some days I soak in nature.

🌟some days I listen to a podcast (I’ve learnt so much!)

🌟some days I make calls, FaceTimes etc with family or friends.

🌟improved sleep.

🌟improved mental and emotional health.

🌟improved focus and creativity

🌟overall I feel happy and content in life and there are many factors that have contributed to that but walking is one of them!

Small, consistent habits can have the most beautiful benefits 💞

What small, consistent change can you make in your life to improve your health and wellbeing?!

Who would of thought I’d become a morning person?!

I use to go to bed between midnight and 1am so when I was asked to teach early mornings, I was like “OMG how am I going to do this?!” 😬

But I’ll say yes and try my best!

Fast forward 3yrs…one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I have benefited in so many ways from this change and I am truly grateful to the early birds who requested a timetable change.

I’m not saying you have to become an early bird, the moral of the story is…stay open to change. Be receptive and adaptable to new ideas and experiences, embrace the possibility of learning and growth.

Change is hard and messy before it’s beautiful and sometimes a single decision won’t work out for the best but guess what…you’re not stuck, you can change paths again and again and again.
Your life will have many seasons, many chapters and you were not designed to stay the same. Stay curious and be open to change. You just never know where your next “yes” will take you! Xox
