Menopause can can cause a whole range of uncomfortable symptoms. How can keeping our Yin and Yang in balance help to relieve these symptoms?

Menopause in Chinese Medicine is generally considered a Yin/Yang disorder. Ageing in general naturally depletes Yin, but menopause (and in particular medically-induced or early menopause) brings about a sudden shift in this Yin/Yang balance, which can cause a whole range of uncomfortable symptoms.

Menstruating isn’t a choice, but those experiencing period poverty often have to choose between period products and other essential items just to get by. We’d rather they didn’t have to choose. That’s why we’re proud to be an official collection point for Share the Dignity's this March. We're accepting all products in original packaging, including pads, tampons, maternity pads, period un**es, menstrual cups and incontinence products. You can find our donation box at reception. Our breast and melanoma surgeon, Charles Douglas, recently completed the Kathmandu Coast to Coast event: Two days of running, paddling and cycling across New Zealand. He raced in honour of Hunter Melanoma Foundation and Breast Cancer Trials, raising vital research funds to keep fighting these diseases. A huge 243km race traveling from west to east across the Southern Alps: 140km of road cycling, 33km of running (mostly over a mountain pass, with multiple river crossings) and 70km of paddling down the Grade 2 waters of the Waimakariri river.
