🍪 Cookies & Psychology
Your brain says: eat the whole stack.
Self-control says: maybe one.
Here’s what the therapy world says:
ACT 🌊 → Notice the craving, name it, and choose what matters most (yes, joy can count).
CBT 💭 → Ask: is this a fact (“I need them”) or just a thought (“I want them”)?
Schema Therapy 🧩 → Sometimes it’s not hunger at all — it’s comfort, safety, or love we’re really reaching for.
Play Therapy 🎲 → Cookies become the game — practice choices, sharing, and imagination through play.
Narrative Therapy 📖 → The story isn’t “I have no control around cookies.” It’s “I can choose the role I want in this story.”
So whether it’s one cookie, three cookies, or just staring at the stack… psychology is always in the mix.
