You don't always need big moves for confidence

Sometimes it's about knowing who's driving your bus.

Is it imposter syndrome? Fear? People pleasing?

And can you shift into reminding yourself that your thoughts and feelings are valid... and move past them?

Which one of these micro-mindset shifts are you taking away today?

This is the mental load so many of us carry, especially as women.

Overthinking if we were:

Too direct?
Too emotional?
Too much... or not enough?

But being confident doesn't mean you have to dominate the conversation.

It's about staying grounded in what you know and not allowing others to talk over you.

As a woman, you can be...

Calm and clear.
Kind and assertive.
Soft and strong.

Many of us were taught that being assertive makes us “aggressive".

But that's not true.

Being assertive doesn't mean talking over someone else 👇

It means you have the courage to stand by your truth, but still be open to learning and listening.

It means you're confident, and that needs to be celebrated.

You may believe that there's nothing you're confident in... allow us to change that.

Can you find just ONE thing you're confident in about yourself?

(before reading on, make sure you follow for more mental health strategies)

For example:

You are confident that 1+1=2

You are confident that you would struggle to run 5KM

You are confident that you feel a wide range of emotions at any given time

No matter what they are, what is ONE thing you're confident in?

It's not always obvious, but...

Burnout can look like:

🦆 Snapping at loved ones without reason

🦆 Forgetting small things often

🦆 Feeling “fine” but flat at work

🦆 Doomscrolling your phone at night

If you’re nodding along, take this as your cue to pause before you hit empty...

Setting a boundary isn't being unkind.

Many of us, women, neurodivergent people and chronic peacekeepers, were taught that assertiveness = aggression.

But that's not true and never was.

Assertiveness is:

🧠 Choosing to honour your values
🧠 Using your voice without shaming others

What are your thoughts on this?

Recently I was in a meeting where I was the only female among 3 males.

There was a power imbalance (even though there shouldn't be), but this time I did something different.

Stayed grounded, trusted myself, and didn't let the others change the topic.

I felt confident, not just in the meeting, but in myself.

Just because society expects women to be quiet, docile and vulnerable, doesn't mean we have to behave that way.

Women can be both. Confident and calm and compassionate.

Can you come up with 3 things you want to achieve this year?

Your goals might be influenced by things outside your control

But naming them helps you get clear on why something matters to you...

And what support, resources, or boundaries you might need to make it happen ❤️

Progress doesn't always have to be loud

If you think you haven't grown in the past year, think again.

There might have been 5 quiet signs of progress that you missed...

Done even one of these 5 things lately?

Ask yourself 👇

Why is this Goal important to you?

Because if it’s just something that sounds good…
..or something you feel like you should do…
..you're going to find it hard to stick to when life gets busy (as it always does).
