This is my story.

From the cocoon.
Through the darkness.
To finding my wings.

Spread Your Wings wasn’t just a name.

It was the moment I chose to stop surviving - and start becoming.

Let’s be honest - navigating the NDIS can feel like a full-time job.

The forms. The funding gaps. The waitlists. The constant explaining and justifying.

If you’re feeling exhausted, confused, or like you’re carrying it all on your own - I see you.

I’ve been there too. As a mum, as a support coordinator, as someone who’s walked this path from both sides.

At Spread Your Wings: Supports we walk with you.

Whether it’s peer mentorship, support work, or just having someone to help you breathe through the next step - we’re here for the long haul.

Because your wellbeing matters too.
And support shouldn’t come with burnout.

🧡 You deserve care that feels human, not just helpful.

So many people are used to feeling spoken for - but not listened to.

They’ve had plans written about them… with barely a conversation.

That’s not how we do things here.

At Spread Your Wings Support, our support work is built around you - your values, your preferences, your way of being.

We believe:
🧡 Your needs are valid - even if they’re different to others’
🧡 Your wellbeing deserves to be a priority, not an afterthought
🧡 Your voice belongs in every decision made about your care

Whether it’s mentoring a young person through big emotions or supporting a parent who’s reached burnout - our team walks with you, not ahead of you.

That means being flexible, compassionate, and always led by what feels safe and supportive for you.

Support work isn’t just about what we do, it’s about how we show up.
And we’re here to show up with heart, honesty, and respect.

If you’ve ever felt unseen in your support journey - you’re not alone.
You belong here.

You can outgrow survival and still not know what safety feels like.

That’s the hard part no one prepares you for.

When the chaos stops, it doesn’t always feel like peace.

It can feel like emptiness. Guilt. Restlessness.

Because your nervous system has learned to run on high alert.

And slowing down? It can feel like failure.

But it’s not.
It’s data.
It’s your body asking, “What now?”

The work isn’t in forcing calm.
It’s in learning how to exist without bracing for impact.

Start there.

🧠 Realignment begins with one honest breath - and that’s not just poetic.

It’s neuroscience.

In mindset coaching, NLP, and hypnotherapy, we often begin with anchoring - a technique that links a specific physical cue (like breath or touch) to a desired emotional state (like calm or clarity).

Why is this powerful?

Because when we’re dysregulated - anxious, overwhelmed, shut down - our nervous system can’t access logic or self-reflection. Anchoring helps us return to safety in the body, not just the mind.

✨ Here's how anchoring works:

You choose a state you want to access more often - maybe groundedness, confidence, calm.

You pair that state with a simple physical cue - like placing a hand on your heart while breathing deeply.

Through repetition, your brain begins to associate that cue with the felt experience of safety or empowerment.

Eventually, one honest breath becomes more than a breath - it becomes a portal back to yourself.

This is especially powerful for neurodivergent women, parents in burnout, and anyone navigating trauma. It’s gentle, accessible, and doesn't require talking your way through overwhelm.

I think about her often - the version of me that kept pushing through, even when every part of me was screaming to stop.

She was tired.
She was hurting.
And she didn't know rest could be safe.

To her, slowing down felt like failure. Saying no felt like letting people down.

So she kept going. For her kids. For survival. For everyone but herself.

And if I could say something to her now?

I'd whisper:
You did the best you could with what you had.
But you don’t have to keep doing it like this.

If this hits something tender in you - I see you.

Burnout isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like being the strong one.

Sometimes it looks like always coping… until you can't.

Here are a few gentle questions that helped me start again:

🌿 Where did I stop trusting myself?
🌿 What would rest actually look like for me?
🌿 What part of me still believes I have to earn care?

This isn’t about shame.

It’s about remembering that we can choose differently now - with compassion, with nervous system safety, and with support.

You don’t have to keep carrying it all alone. There is another way. 🧡

✨ Not all support is created equal - and your child deserves more than a service that just shows up and ticks boxes.

At Spread Your Wings: Supports, our peer mentors and support workers aren’t here to “manage” your child - we’re here to connect, empower, and walk with them.

Because real support looks like:

🧡 Building safe, trusting relationships that take time - and care
🧡 Meeting kids in their world - whether that’s messy play, quiet moments, or shared laughter
🧡 Supporting emotional regulation, self-expression, and a sense of “I can”

We know what it’s like to want more for your child. That’s why we do things differently - heart-led, neuro-affirming, and always human-first.

We’ve recently welcomed some incredible new team members, and we’re so proud of the way they’re showing up for our families.

💬 If you’re ready for support that actually feels supportive, we’d love to hear from you.

We’ve been taught that “reset” means you’ve failed.
Slipped up. Lost your way.

But what if resetting is just a pause with purpose?

Not a do-over.
Not a productivity hack.
Not a cleanse or a hustle.

Just a quiet reconnection.
To your body.
To your boundaries.
To the parts of you that don’t shout - but whisper.

Spring doesn’t demand a performance.
It invites presence.
And presence brings clarity.

You don’t need to be a new you.
You need to feel like you again.

Your clarity lives in the stillness.
And your next step? It begins in that space between exhale and intention.

Why do we repeat the same cycles?

Because the brain isn’t wired for what’s good for us.
It’s wired for what it already knows.

Familiar pain can feel safer than unfamiliar peace.
Even if it hurts, at least we know how to brace for it.
At least we know how it ends.

But healing invites us into new endings.
Into choosing discomfort that actually leads somewhere softer.
Into choosing curiosity over autopilot.

This isn’t about blame.
It’s about noticing the loop and realising you get to pause mid-pattern and ask:

Is this actually true anymore?
Is this actually me anymore?

It’s okay if change feels strange at first.
Even peace can feel scary when you’re used to chaos.

But you are allowed to build a new kind of safety, one that doesn’t hurt to hold.

You are not your history.
You are not your habits.

You are the awareness that gets to choose again.

Not just a breath - but a release.

The kind that softens your chest, unclenches your jaw, and reminds your body, “I’m safe right now.”

If your nervous system has been running the show lately…
If you've been carrying more than you let on…
This is your reminder to come back to yourself.

Let’s pause, right here - together.

✨ Close your eyes if that feels safe. Or just soften your gaze.

Start by noticing the weight of your body.

Feel where you’re being held - by the chair, the bed, the earth.
Let your body know it doesn’t have to do the holding alone.

Take a slow breath in through your nose.
Let your chest and belly rise.

Now gently exhale through your mouth - like a soft sigh.

Let your shoulders drop.
Let your jaw unclench.
Let your belly soften.

Do it again.
Breathe in…
And out.

You don’t need to be “on” right now.
You don’t need to fix or plan or hold it all.

Just breathe.
Just be.
That is more than enough.

When you’re ready, slowly come back to the moment. Wiggle your fingers. Blink your eyes open.

Maybe place a hand on your heart. Maybe say thank you - to yourself.

This is your exhale.
You get to come back to it anytime.

Hypnotherapy isn’t about being “put under” or losing control - and it’s definitely not stage tricks. (No becoming a chicken here!)

It’s a gentle, guided process that helps your mind enter a relaxed, focused state (kind of like that dreamy moment right before you fall asleep).

In that space, your subconscious - the part of your mind that stores emotional memories, patterns, and beliefs - becomes more open to healing.

Most of our beliefs about safety, self-worth, or what’s “possible” in life were formed when we were younger or in moments of stress.

And the subconscious holds onto those stories long after they stop serving us.

That’s why you can know something logically (“I’m allowed to rest”)…

But still feel unsafe doing it.

Hypnotherapy helps bridge that gap.

It gently introduces new, supportive messages - based on what you’re ready for - so that your nervous system and inner world can finally start to believe them.

And that’s the magic.

You’re not becoming someone new.
You’re peeling back the layers of survival, fear, and old noise… and coming home to who you’ve always been underneath.

🕊️ If you’re curious to explore this work, the 2026 waitlist is open.

We go gently here. We honour the pace of your nervous system.
And we build safety - not shame.

🤍 You don’t have to do it alone.

Not the healing.
Not the parenting.
Not the navigating or the unravelling.

We weren’t meant to carry it all in silence.

Let this be your reminder to lean on your people - the ones who hold space without fixing, who sit with you in the mess, who see your magic even when you forget.

And if you’ve got the capacity today…

✨ Check in on your people too.
We never really know who’s carrying quietly.

A text. A voice note. A shared meme.
It doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful.

🫶 You deserve to feel supported, held, and connected - not just when you’re thriving, but in the in-between too.
