What a day it was! On behalf of The Wandering Man Board and the BBQ Committee, we want to extend a massive and heartfelt thank you to everyone who made today such a success.

To be honest, we were a little worried leading up to today that we might not have enough hands on deck. We put the call out for help, and in true Wandering Man spirit, we were absolutely overwhelmed by the response. Whether you were one of our regulars or a first-timer who stepped up to help for the very first time, seeing the community show up like that was incredible.

Today was about so much more than just cooking snags; it was about genuine community connection. Seeing so many new faces come down to offer their time and watching blokes look out for one another is exactly what makes this organisation special. It is these moments of support and conversation that truly drive our mission for men's well-being in the region.

A Special Shout-Out
A huge thank you once again to Trevor and the team at Grovedale Quality Meats. Your generosity in supplying the snags is the backbone of these events, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support.

To all the team members and volunteers who presented to help, thank you. You turned a busy day into something truly special.

🔥 Bunnings BBQ Tomorrow – Coffee Catch-Up Today ☕

Big couple of days for The Wandering Man.

First up today, our midweek coffee catch-up, hosted by the legend Chris. If the week’s getting a bit busy, this is a great chance to slow down for a bit, grab a coffee (on us), and have a chat with a group of good blokes. No pressure, no expectations — just connection and good conversation.

Then tomorrow we’ll be firing up the BBQ at Bunnings Waurn Ponds 🔥🌭

We’ll be setting up from 8:30am, with the BBQ running from 9:00am.

All proceeds go towards supporting men’s mental health in the Geelong community, helping us continue the work we do.

If you’ve got a bit of time and would like to lend a hand, it’s not too late to jump in — just send us a DM. We’d love the extra pair of hands.

One small note… Chris has a cold, so if we see him attempting the swim, there may be some serious forceful if necessary, negotiations taking place to keep him on the dry side 😄.
We’ll be keeping a close eye out… The Wandering Man Health & Safety Committee may need to step in if Chris heads for the water!

🌅🥘 The Wandering Man Paella Night Wrap – Eastern Beach 🥘🌅
What an incredible night we had last night down at beautiful Eastern Beach for our Wandering Man Paella Night.
Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who helped with the set-up and getting everything ready. These nights only happen because of the great people behind the scenes who put their hands up and pitch in.
To all the legends who came along, thank you for being part of it. It was fantastic to see everyone relaxing, chatting, and enjoying a great evening together.
The weather certainly looked a little uncertain early on, but the rain held off and we were treated to a warm, calm evening by the bay. There was something really special about sitting together as the sun went down, sharing food, conversation, and connection.
A massive shout-out to Rob from Bellarine Paella, who cooked up an absolutely amazing all-meat paella for us. It was sensational and we highly recommend Rob for any functions or events.
We were also really pleased to welcome three first-timers to The Wandering Man community Adam, Marcus, and Jebb. Great to have you along, and we hope to see you again soon.
One of the best parts of the night was seeing the guys stay on afterwards, sitting around chatting and connecting until dark. That’s exactly what The Wandering Man is all about.
