Today I visited the Stone Stele Records of Imperial Examinations of the Lê and Mạc dynasties in Hanoi, Vietnam. These stelae commemorate doctoral laureates from royal examinations held between 1442 and 1779. Each stele is mounted on a stone tortoise, a symbol of longevity and wisdom.
The point is - It takes time and patience to achieve our goals!

Some sights of Hoi An, including hanging out with buffalo and visiting the farms where lettuces and herbs such as thai basil and lemongrass are grown! Much more relaxed than Ho Chi Minh City! 🍃

Tonight I visited SaigonSaigon Rooftop bar at Carravale Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. This venue is famous, due to reporters from around the world meeting here to relax and regroup, whilst reporting on the Vietnam War in the 1960s.

Enjoyed giving my lectures today at Deakin University Burwood campus! There are lots of interesting buildings to explore there. A student from my ‘Health Equity and Human Rights’ class kindly offered to take a pic for me! 📸

Hi Folks,
Just an update that for the next 11 weeks, I won’t be available at the clinic on Fridays.
I’ll be busy teaching Master of Public Health students at the Deakin University Burwood campus for the trimester. 👨🏻‍🎓
(Note: the pic is taken by the lake at the Deakin Waurn Ponds campus! I’ll have to take a selfie one day at Burwood!)

My mum Jillie Carter recently came home from Epworth Hospital Geelong after a very rough 7 weeks. I was heartened that the medical staff were more than happy for me to provide some naturopathic support to complement their life-saving treatments. I just don’t think this would have happened a decade ago. In the future, I may do some formal research on the policies (if any) Australian hospitals have in place to integrate orthodox and complementary medicines. But most importantly for now, welcome home mum! 🫶🏻
