✨ Supported Independent Living (SIL) Opportunity ✨

CoCo Support Services currently has a SIL vacancy available for a young male looking to live in a supportive, structured, and engaging environment.

🏡 About the participant:
This young man is creative, funny, and full of personality, with a great sense of humour and a love for connection. He thrives with routine and benefits from a calm, predictable environment with consistent supports.

🎨 Interests & strengths include:
• Drawing and creative expression (a key self-regulation tool)
• Building with Lego, train tracks, and hands-on activities
• Technology use, including iPad drawing programs and YouTube
• Music, animated movies, and familiar TV shows
• Swimming, basketball, football, and community activities
• Attending art programs and developing new skills through school

🍽️ Daily living & independence:
• Independent with personal care
• Building confidence with meal preparation, routines, and household tasks
• Enjoys being involved in cooking and trying new foods over time
• Responds well to visual supports and structured planning

💙 Support needs:
• Benefits from routine, predictability, and clear communication
• May feel overwhelmed in new environments and requires time to settle
• Values personal space and quiet time for self-regulation
• Strong connections with family and enjoys maintaining these relationships

This SIL home would suit someone who enjoys a balance of home-based activities and community engagement, and who would thrive in a supportive, understanding environment.

CoCo Support Services offers Short Term Respite (STR), Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Individual Living Options (ILO) services to NDIS Participants in Victoria. We are a boutique support service that focuses on delivering premium quality disability support services.

We’ve recently introduced a new internal system at CoCo Support Services designed to strengthen coordination across a participant’s entire NDIS support team.

As a SIL provider, we work closely with support coordinators, plan managers, therapists, behaviour support practitioners, families, and other services. This gives us visibility across all moving parts — but we also see how easily things can become disconnected, especially around reviews, reporting, funding accuracy, and changing participant needs.

To address this, we’ve developed a structured approach that brings clarity, timing, and alignment across the whole team. It ensures the right information is captured, the right actions happen at the right time, and that funding is protected and built strategically around the participant’s evolving needs.

We’re now extending this approach beyond our SIL homes and have capacity to support additional participants who may be:

- Underfunded or at risk of losing funding
- Approaching plan reviews
- Unsure how to articulate their needs within the NDIS
- Needing stronger team coordination and oversight

Our Clyde SDA/SIL home is officially open, and one final room is available.

Opportunities like this are rare. First in, best dressed – and once it’s gone, this home is full.

An all-girl home with two lovely young women already settled in.

The space is calm, safe, and intentionally designed to feel like home from the moment you walk in.

For us, this is about bringing the CoCo experience beyond our homes - offering CoCo style support in the community with our trusted team, known for creating tranquil, uplifting experiences.
