Please join us in warmly welcoming Juliana Dodds to the Cameron Wellness Centre team as an Occupational Therapist.

Juliana brings experience working with children and young people aged 2 to 16, supporting a variety of needs including Autism, ADHD and Cerebral Palsy. She has also spent several years working as a Therapy Assistant with an adult stroke participant, which has given her valuable experience across different ages, abilities and support settings within the NDIS.

Juliana has a strong interest in assistive technology, neurodiversity and sensory-based intervention. She loves finding common ground with the people she supports and building meaningful relationships, taking the time to understand each person as an individual. What stands out most is her genuine passion for making a positive and lasting difference through her work.

Today, on National Close the Gap Day, we pause to reflect on the role each of us has in helping create a more just, equitable and culturally safe future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme, Community Voices: The Pathway to Justice, Equality and Healing, is a powerful reminder that meaningful change does not come from speaking over communities, but from listening deeply, walking alongside, and backing the strength, wisdom and leadership that already exists within them.

At Cameron Wellness Centre, our commitment to closing the gap is not symbolic. It calls us to keep showing up with humility, to strengthen access, to champion culturally responsive care, and to ensure the voices of First Nations peoples remain at the centre of how services are designed, delivered and improved.

Closing the gap is everyone’s responsibility. It asks us to move beyond intention and towards action that is respectful, informed and sustained.

Today, we stand in reflection, in solidarity, and in commitment to doing better, together.

There is something incredibly powerful about community coming together to invest in the wellbeing, safety and future of young people.

Our Darwin team is proud to support Darwin Youth Services and their important initiative to help get Domestic and Family Violence prevention resource packs into classrooms across the Northern Territory.

These resources create space for important conversations around respect, consent, boundaries, healthy relationships and where to go for help. Conversations like these matter, and having them early can help shape safer and stronger futures for children and young people.

At Cameron Wellness Centre, we are committed to backing initiatives that align with our values and contribute to stronger, healthier communities. We are grateful to play a small part in supporting work that is practical, meaningful and led by local impact.

A sincere thank you to Darwin Youth Services for the care, leadership and purpose behind this initiative. We are proud to stand alongside you.

Today, on National Apology Day, we pause with respect and intention to acknowledge the Stolen Generations, their families, and the enduring strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise the deep and lasting impact of past government policies, and we honour the truth that healing is ongoing.

At Cameron Wellness Centre, this day reinforces our responsibility as healthcare providers and community partners. As a Supply Nation-registered organisation, we remain committed to delivering culturally safe, inclusive, and accessible services across both NDIS and Aged Care. Our role is not only to provide support, but to listen, learn, and walk alongside communities with humility, respect, and accountability.

For us, reconciliation is lived through action. It is reflected in how we show up, how we care, and how we build genuine relationships grounded in trust.

Today is a moment to reflect. Tomorrow is a continued commitment.
