⚠️ Geelong and Colac hardware update
RAM pricing aren’t “going up”. They’ve blown out.
In July 2025, a Kingston Fury Beast 32GB DDR5 6000 kit was around $159.
Today, that same kit is sitting at around $699.
That’s a 320% increase in a matter of weeks.
This shift is being driven by global demand from AI data centres, with manufacturers prioritising server grade DRAM over consumer and business supply.
We are already seeing the flow on effects locally. Business laptop stock is tightening, and availability is changing week to week. Some popular models are becoming difficult to source.
What this means for your business:
❗️Delaying upgrades is likely to cost more later
❗️Hardware budgets can blow out unexpectedly
❗️You risk buying what is available, not what actually suits your needs
If you have upgrades planned for Q1 or Q2, now is the time to act. IT How To can help lock in current pricing on RAM, laptops, and full system refreshes before the next increase.
