Kardinia Health Psychologists – Appointments Available

Access to mental health support can be challenging, particularly across regional and rural Victoria, where psychologist shortages are more pronounced than in metropolitan Melbourne.

At Kardinia Health, our psychology team currently has appointments available for new patients. We provide inclusive, compassionate support across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, eating disorders, substance use, chronic pain, illness and disability, parenting, and relationship challenges.

Our team also offers affirming care for LGBTIQ+ individuals and neurodivergent young people and adults, including gender-affirming support.

Appointments are available both in person and via Telehealth.

International Women’s Day | 8 March 💜

This International Women’s Day, we acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of women across every industry, including those whose work is often unseen or unpaid.

Whether leading in business, caring for family, volunteering, studying, mentoring or showing up for their community, every contribution matters.

The 2026 theme, ‘Give to Gain’, reminds us that when we lift others, we all rise. Together, we can continue building a world where generosity, equality and opportunity go hand in hand.

From all of us at Kardinia Health, thank you to the women in our lives, our teams and our community.

March is Lymphoedema Awareness Month 🩵

This week, we recognise Lymphoedema Awareness Week, dedicated to raising awareness of lymphoedema and the impact it has on so many lives.

Lymphoedema is a chronic condition that causes swelling due to a build-up of lymph fluid, most commonly affecting the arms or legs. It can develop following cancer treatment, surgery, radiation therapy, trauma, or may be present from birth.

While there is currently no cure, early diagnosis and appropriate management can make a significant difference. Treatment may include compression therapy, gentle exercise, specialised massage (manual lymphatic drainage), and education to support long-term self-care.

Throughout this week, we stand with those living with lymphoedema, advocating for awareness, early intervention, and access to quality care 🩵

If you or someone you love has concerns about swelling or lymphatic health, seeking professional advice is an important first step.
