✨ Meet Brooke! ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Brooke to the Atali team as our newest Support Coordinator.

Brooke brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her role. With a Bachelor of Psychology and a Diploma of Mental Health, she has spent the past four years designing and coordinating wellbeing programs within local government.

As a mum, Brooke also knows firsthand what it’s like to navigate complex support systems for her own family- giving her a deep understanding of the challenges many participants and families face.

She is especially passionate about supporting people with diverse and complex mental health needs, helping them to build independence, resilience, and meaningful lives.

Brooke currently has some capacity to take on new participants- so if you or someone you know is looking for a Support Coordinator, get in touch today.

We are so grateful to have her compassion, knowledge, and dedication on the team. 💕

The new 2025–26 NDIS Price Guide has just come out, and to be honest, a lot of us are worried.

Here’s what we’re seeing:
+ Support Coordination & Recovery Coaching rates have not increased—again.
+ Therapists (like OTs, Psychs, and Speechies) have less travel funding, which could mean fewer home visits.
+ Support for Community Access is under pressure too.
+ AND the NDIA is now releasing funding in quarterly blocks, which makes it harder to plan longer-term therapy or support.

What does this mean for participants?
+ Your therapist might not be able to come to you anymore
+ Your supports may not stretch as far as before
+ Support workers and Coordinators may be unable to keep up with the level of help you’ve come to rely on
+ Planning ahead is harder when funding is drip-fed every 3 months

At Atali, we’re doing everything we can to support you, but we also know it’s time to speak up.

We’re writing an open letter to the NDIA and our local MPs—and we want to include your voice.

Have you:
+ Struggled to access therapy or support workers recently?
+ Had your supports reduce or disappear?
+Been confused or stressed by the new quarterly funding limits?

If so, please share your experience. It’ll be confidential and de-identified—your name and details won’t be included.

📩 Message us directly or email teah@atalicoordination.org

Feel free to share this post with your own community.
We’ll be publishing the open letter once it’s finalised so we can all stand behind it together.

This morning, I am asking for your support for Stephen, one of my long time, incredible NDIS participants, and his beloved assistance animal, Abbey. Abbey is more than just a pet; she’s Stephen’s constant companion, providing invaluable support and independence.
Recently, Abbey has been very unwell and requires urgent veterinary care. Unfortunately, Stephen has been advised that the costs associated with finding a diagnosis and treatment will be significant.

Due to the recent changes in NDIS legislation, Stephen was forced to cancel his pet insurance, due to this no longer being a covered expense for funded assistance animals under NDIS plans. Now, something that likely would have been covered with pet insurance is now an out-of-pocket expense and an unreadable goal for Stephen financially.
This is an incredibly tough situation, especially when Stephen’s priority is Abbey’s health and well-being.
I have set up a GoFundMe campaign to help raise the funds needed for Abbey’s veterinary care. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a massive difference in ensuring Abbey gets the treatment she needs.

Please consider donating and sharing this post with your network, to support Stephen and Abbey during this challenging time. Your kindness and generosity will mean the world to them.

Thank you for your compassion and support.

This morning, I am asking for your support for Stephen, one of my long time, incredible NDIS participants, and his beloved assistance animal, Abbey. Abbey is more than just a pet; she's Stephen's constant companion, providing invaluable support and independence.

We’re beyond excited to introduce Kaitlyn, the newest addition to the Atali team!

As our executive assistant, Kaitlyn will be the glue that holds everything together, keeping all the behind the scenes stuff running smoothly (This ADHD brain could REALLY use the help, most of us know admin based tasks aren’t my bread and butter 😅).

Kaitlyn’s passion and caring nature, coupled with her background in social work and lived experience with disability, makes her a true champion for personal growth and well-being.

You’ll likely be hearing from Kaitlyn in the coming months as she tackles tasks, manages appointments, and gets to know you all.

We’re SO happy to have Kaitlyn on board, and we hope you are too! 💕
