Geelong owned and operated. Established in 1997 we provide a complete orthotic service for both private and public patients. Geelong Orthotics has grown steadily over the last 10 years. Our service is dedicated to providing orthotic solutions to assist our patients. Geelong Orthotics currently employs 9 staff including orthotists, technical, footwear and administrative roles. Geelong Orthotics expanded its services in 2003 to include a medical grade and comfort footwear clinic Extra Depth Footwear, now provides clinics to Ballarat and Warrnambool.

Then we lock in your two‑week review to make sure everything’s settling exactly as it should.

At Geelong Orthotics, senior orthotist Melinda Solly leads our DDH bracing clinic.
She runs a dedicated Wednesday afternoon clinic, aligning with Barwon Health to ensure coordinated, timely care for local families.
As part of the multidisciplinary team with orthopaedic surgeons and physiotherapists, Melinda provides coordinated assessment, custom bracing, and ongoing support.

📣 Geelong Orthotics Is Moving!
After more than 25 years at our Bellerine Street clinic, we’re excited to be moving into a purpose‑built space designed to support our clients.

From Monday 2 February, all appointments will take place at our new location:
21/158 Fyans Street, South Geelong.

This move gives us more room for advanced gait analysis, improved accessibility for all patients, easier parking and better clinic flow and a space designed for regional and rural clients to receive faster, more consistent care

If you already have an appointment booked on or after 2 February, it will automatically take place at the new clinic, no action needed.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the new space.

We are pleased to offer a school-based orthotics clinic at Barwon Valley School, supporting students in a familiar and supportive environment.
Providing assessments on site helps reduce disruption to the school day and minimises the need for families to attend external appointments. For many students, being seen in a known setting can also make the process more comfortable and less stressful.
Geelong Orthotics values the opportunity to work alongside schools and families to support student wellbeing in a practical and accessible way.

🎒 Back to school shoe shopping?
Three things that matter more than brand or price:
✔️ A firm heel (it shouldn’t squash easily)
✔️ Flexibility at the toes - not the middle
✔️ Enough width for growing feet.

We see a lot of foot pain this time of year where footwear comes into play, especially when shoes aren’t giving growing feet enough support or room.

Recently Chris spent two days at the Royal Children’s Hospital learning to fabricate the Fior & Gentz Neuro Swing AFO using wet‑lamination techniques with Össur. Continuous learning means better precision, better durability, and better outcomes for the people we support.
