Our own Anjelo Ratnachandra will be sharing his lived experience at the Australian Pain Society Annual Meeting 2026, alongside leading voices in pain research and care.
Chronic pain affects every part of a person’s life, and access to clear, practical support matters.
As part of the Australian Pain Society Annual Scientific Meeting 2026, APS is hosting a dedicated consumer event for people living with chronic pain, along with their families and supporters.
Chronic Pain: Practical Strategies, Real Conversations, Genuine Support brings together lived experience, contemporary pain science and practical strategies in an accessible, person-centred program designed to help people better understand pain and build confidence in self-management.
Attendees will explore:
✓ Understanding pain and contemporary pain science
✓ Neuropathic pain and current treatment approaches
✓ Safe movement and pacing strategies
✓ Everyday coping tools for sleep, stress and daily life
✓ Nutrition and pain managemen
✓ Local supports and pathways for ongoing care
The event concludes with a multidisciplinary panel discussion reflecting the coordinated, person-centred approach to pain care that APS advocates for nationally.
👥 Please share this opportunity with patients, families and community networks who may benefit.
