If you’ve ever enjoyed a coffee from the beautiful café next door to us, they could really use our support right now.

Due to a council complaint, their outdoor seating had to be removed — a huge blow for a small, community-focused business. I’ve set up a GoFundMe to help them install the concrete bollards required so they can bring their outdoor seating back and keep their little community hub thriving.

📣 Clinic Update – School Holiday Break 🏖️🏀

Both Emma and Carrie are taking a well-earned break over the school holidays, and our clinic will be closed until Tuesday, 8th July.

✨ Emma is soaking up some precious family time in sunny Port Douglas 🌴
✨ Carrie is off to Bendigo, cheering on her son as he represents Victoria Country in the Australian National Basketball Championships 🏀🇦🇺

How am I a mother to 3 teenagers now!!! 🤯.

My eldest is starting Year 11 and has just got his learners permit 🚗 📖 👀.

The twins- well they have just had their phones confiscated for 1 week after an all in brawl Saturday afternoon. Yes imagine head locks and torn clothing. The works!!
These puberty years are CRAZY!!!

Who else is glad their kids are back at school??? 🙋🏼‍♀️

What is your Christmas tradition?

Our 11 year gingerbread house making tradition continues and it still lights up these little faces.

Such a fun way to get in the Xmas spirit and the house always smells amazing.

Both Em and I are signing off for the holiday season now. We want to wish all of our Mums and Bubs a wonderful Christmas and we’ll see you in the new year 🎄 x

Em is back on deck Monday 2nd Jan and Carrie is returning on Monday 16th Jan.

This woman.
Honestly.

Emma or Em as I call her has been a shining light in the clinic ever since she started with Bump & Bub almost 2 years ago now.

The mamas LOVE her and I love her. She is the most friendly, caring, empathetic and rad human you will ever meet.

She has helped so many mums and babies over the course of her journey here, always making you feel heard and supported whilst going through the struggles of motherhood. There have even been times Em has helped me navigate the challenges of parenting and provided a friendly shoulder to cry on.

I am so grateful to have her as not only a work colleague but a friend 🥰😘❤️

My TOP TIP for World Breast Feeding Week 2023:

☀️ See an IBCLC BEFORE you have your baby. Learning about breastfeeding and how to troubleshoot and best prepare before your baby arrives means that you are able to plan if things don’t go smoothly. This may involve some prenatal expressing and learning the correct way to store milk safely. It may involve learning some different feeding positions or how to get that perfect latch. IBCLC’s are worth their weight on gold and we have some great options here in Geelong including,

World Breastfeeding Week 2022

This is one of the only photos I have of me breastfeeding the twins 💙💙.
I still remember thinking in hospital, ‘How the hell am I going to do this by myself when I get them home???’ 😂
I would set myself up in a chair, the nurses would pass me the babies one at a time, I would feed them, the nurses would burp them for me and pass them back. Whoa what a process 🙈.

It was an amazing 10 months before I had to end our breastfeeding journey to prioritise my own health.
No matter how long you directly or indirectly breastfeed your baby for, every mama deserves to be celebrated and supported, even those who wanted to breastfeed but couldn’t for whatever reason. There can be some real struggles in the process and I acknowledge each and every one of you. You are all amazing!!!
