The Flammarion engraving is a wood engraving by an unknown artist, so named because its first documented appearance is in Camille Flammarion's 1888 book L'atmosphère : météorologie populaire ("The Atmosphere: Popular Meteorology").

We all construct our own reality, some people manage to understand what influences their reality and look beyond it.

In session with Clients I am often asked if self help books work. I normally reply that they do not, even though I do recommend several books, I still maintain that they do not work. Self help books are the same as any tool that you may have, it is "your application of the knowledge in the book that works". You can have the best garden spade, however it will not dig the garden unless "you use it", knowledge is the same. Knowledge must contemplated, understood and applied before it benefits you.

I will be reviewing several books and publishing the reviews on this page. The first book I recommend is, "How to Solve Our Human Problems: The Four Noble Truths", Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

This book is the smallest book out of approximately thirty books written by Buddhist Master, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. It is arguably the most valuable book he has written. It is an excellent challenge to conventional western thinking in relation to individual behaviour, especially in relation to anger.
Anyone who wishes to commence learning about self mastery or is concerned about their behaviour, anger or blaming others for their life situation may benefit from contemplating the content of this book.

HISTORIC REPORT RECOGNISES MALE VICTIMS
The following recommendations from the historic bipartisan report, if implemented, will hopefully help all victims across Australia receive the assistance they need.

• “...that the next National Plan be inclusive of the diversity of victim-survivors. In particular, the next plan should recognise the rights and needs of women; children in their own right; men; older Australi-ans; LGBTQI people; and people living with a disability.” [Recommendation 3]

• “...that the next National Plan be named the National Plan to reduce family, domestic and sexual vio-lence” [Recommendation 5]

• “…that the Australian Government commission research into the prevalence of family, domestic and sexual violence against men and its impact on male victim-survivors. The research should include a focus on any connections between male victim-survivors and their exposure to family, domestic and sexual violence as children.” [Recommendation 54]

• “...that the Department of Social Services review the adequacy of advice and referral services for men as victim-survivors of family, domestic and sexual violence.” [Recommendation 54]

IN VICTORIA THE SOCIAL MODEL OF HEALTH BROUGHT US THROUGH THE HIV/AIDS EPIDEMIC WITH THE LOWEST INFECTION RATES IN THE WORLD. IT WILL BRING US THROUGH THIS PANDEMIC AS WELL IF WE FOLLOW THE PROTOCOLS, WASH YOUR HANDS, MAKE SURE WHAT EVER GOES INTO YOUR MOUTH IS CLEAN, KEEP YOUR DISTANCE, ETC, ETC.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, WE ARE AT WAR WITH AN INVISIBLE KILLER. WE WILL BEAT IT WITH THE SOCIAL MODEL OF HEALTH FIRSTLY AND THEN MUCH LATER WITH THE MEDICAL MODEL OF HEALTH.
