Villamanta Legal Services are keen to talk to anyone who has been under a Guardianship order about their experiences with OPA

The Victorian Auditor General’s Office (VAGO) wants to hear from people who currently have an OPA guardian or have had an OPA guardian within the last 5 years.
VAGO wants to understand what OPA have been doing well and where they could improve.
VALID and Villamanta will be running small focus groups of 4-5 participants each (in-person and online available) to listen to your experiences.
Any answers you give will be kept confidential by VAGO and you won’t be identified in any reports back to OPA.
Family members who have experience with an OPA guardian are also welcome to enquire.
Please contact Valid or Villamanta for further information.

The long-awaited final report from the Disability Royal Commission is here, featuring 222 recommendations to combat violence and abuse against people with disability.

The comprehensive 5000-page report meticulously examines the root causes of abuse and neglect, providing a much-needed blueprint for change.

David Petherick, Executive officer of Barwon Disability Resource Council expresses gratitude to the resilient voices of people with disabilities, their families, and supporters who shared their stories with the Disability Royal Commissioner. Together, they've paved the way for genuine transformation and a future free from harm.

Let's stand united with disability advocates and commit to implementing these recommendations, ensuring a safer and more inclusive world for everyone.

As your registered NDIS Plan Manager, let us assist you in managing your plan to fund services and supports. We are a completely independent and local plan management service based in Geelong, also servicing the Surf Coast, Bellarine, Golden Plains and Bacchus Marsh regions.

Our goal as a NDIS registered plan management provider is to make life that little bit easier for you by taking away the administrative tasks associated with paying service providers.

We help you maximise your plan and save you time by dealing with your services, managing your budget, paying your invoices, and giving guidance. We will pay for your supports delivered, help you monitor your funds and provide financial reporting.
