There's been ALOT going on around here (but Rory doesn't want me to post or share too much):
We packed up and moved out of our house 🏠
Rory graduated primary school with a fabulous speech 🎓
He had his 6-month MRI and Oncology 🏥 - super stable and testing sooo well 🥳
Rory turned 12!!!🎂 which means 8 years of surviving and living with brain cancer 🧠
Tomorrow we hit the road 🚗 for our new life in Queensland 🌞

Because Rory dislikes the cold so much, and he's as healthy as he has ever been, and he is about to transition from primary to high school..... we figured a move to Queensland was on the cards!
We will be heading off in about 4 weeks all ready for a new start in 2026 🏖🌊☀️ with all of Rory's medical care being transferred to

These are Rory's shoes. Today Mum Gemma heads to Canberra for the annual Brain Cancer community's presentation to parliament. To "ask" (beg) for more research funding on a national scale.
Rory is so far one of the lucky ones. He's alive. Whilst still riddled with disease, he is currently stable and off treatment. But every day is a battle: with fatigue, motor control, emotional regulation, sensory overload, concentration, academic performance.....
You all know the statistics and how underfunded BC research is comparative to the impact this disease has. But if you want to learn more, swipe ⬅️ and share. Thank you 😊 🙏

Raising Awareness for Paediatric Brain Cancer

This group started as a simple fundraising effort with a team of runners who competed in the Great Ocean Road Running Festival in May 2019. All funds raised are donated directly to the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation - an non-profit charity that strongly supports and finances research into brain cancer.

The support has been outstanding - hence the need for Rory’s Warriors to have its own page and voice! There are more activities and events and fundraisers in the pipeline, follow the page to stay up to date.
