Hi folks! As mentioned in my stories, I was talking about having a deload week - as I could feel the onset of overwhelm in my body. What does this feel like? A few hints! ❗️❗️❗️❗️Inability to concentrate, ruminating on past events, being snippy with the husband, poor sleep / bloat or poor digestion…. Not wanting to train hard or having enough energy to train. All signs of a body under strain! So a few things. I upped carbohydrates as I had brought them down, I ditched the strength training for 1 hour walks instead, I locked myself out of social apps to stop scrolling - and then I added sauna + Lympha + vagal stimulation on! Assisting our body in detoxification both through sweat and manually through the lymph - helps reduce some burden. Vagal stimulation is fantastic for pushing the body out of fight or flight - and back into rest and digest. I use breathe in for 4 -hold for 6 -out for 8 breathing strategy at the same time. The product I use is called .tech 🙏🏻 Remember slowing down into active recovery is not a failure - it is a winning strategy! I’ll be back to strength training on Saturday 💪🏻

🦒 Did you know that giraffes have the same number of cervical vertebrae as humans—just 7? Crazy, right? Even though their necks are a whopping 6 feet long! 😳

Length doesn’t equal number; it’s all about how they're built. Just like us, if we lose that natural curve in our necks (thanks, tech neck!), it can lead to headaches, stiffness, and shoulder tension.
