As 2025 is coming to a close on what has been our busiest year yet at Care Squad we would like to take the time to wish all our care "squad" a Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

Entering the festive season we would like to inform you of our office closures.
Care Squad head office will be closed on all public holidays in December. All service based staffing will operate as per usual during this time.

We wish you a safe and happy holidays and thank you for all your support during 2025.

We are looking forward to working together to help clients achieve their dreams in 2026!

Phil came face-to-face with the Grinch… just 7 days before Christmas 🎄

Risky timing? Absolutely. Survival? Questionable.

The Grinch tried his best to steal Christmas, but Phil wasn’t having it — plenty of laughs, big smiles, and zero presents taken (we checked 😅). Even the Grinch looked a little confused about how he ended up enjoying himself.

Moral of the story:
✔ Christmas spirit = undefeated
✔ Phil = 1
✔ Grinch = still grumpy

Our little superstar Kalel has already been to visit Santa, and he hasn’t stopped smiling since. 🎅

He’s been sharing his Christmas wishes, checking the skies for reindeer, and eagerly awaiting Santa’s arrival. The magic of the season is truly alive!

We love seeing the joy and wonder this time of year brings to the people we support.

💙Meet Phil 💙

Phil recently joined Care squad and was eager to get out in to the community with staff to start exploring the places he used to love the most.

Phil was unable to get to these places in the past but since coming onboard with the care squad team, he has been able to get back to what he loves doing most, Exploring!!

Phil has been busy ticking places off his list he wants to explore as well as staff helping him achieve his goals by getting back to what he loves doing most!!

Meet Kat who is a Team Leader here at Care Squad 💙

We asked Kat some questions about why she works in Disability and this is what she had to say-

✨What inspired you to work in the Disability Sector?
I began working in the disability sector after many years in childcare, where I held a range of roles including Centre Director. Transitioning into disability support has been an incredibly rewarding experience and continues to be so every day.

✨What is your fave part of the job and why?
I value the opportunity to work closely with clients, their families, and allied health teams. Supporting staff so they can empower our clients to achieve their goals and reach their full potential is a vital part of my role—and one I genuinely enjoy.

✨What do you love about working with Care Squad?
Working with Care Squad has enabled me to further develop my skills and knowledge within a supportive and professional environment.

✨What do you like to do in your down time when you are not working?
Outside of work, I love being creative and can usually be found in the middle of an art project at home. I also adore animals and truly believe they have a calming and positive impact on people.

Its our favourite time of the week again where we get to introduce you all to our amazing staff here at Care Squad 💙

Please meet Amber, one of our amazing Senior Support workers here at Care Squad, and we asked her about why she does what she does, and this is her response 👇

✨What made me start working in disability?

My youngest sister has level 2 Autism and ADHD. Growing up alongside her gave me a strong sense of empathy and understanding for people with different needs. Seeing the challenges that she faced daily and difference that the right support could make. It inspired me to want to start a career in supporting and advocating for others with special needs.

✨What do I love the most about working in the disability sector?

What I love the most about working in the disability sector is building genuine connections with people and supporting them to reach their goals. Every person I work with teaches me something new about resilience, individuality and perspective. Its rewarding to see someone grow in their confidence and indepedence and know I’ve played a small part in their journey.

✨What’s one thing that I’ve learnt from working with the clients I support?

Working with non-verbal autism is incredibly special to me because it’s a reminder that communication goes far beyond words. Its taught me to slow down, to listen differently, and to notice the small details like a smile, a gesture or a moment of connection. Those unspoken moments can be so powerful, and genuine and they show how much understanding can grow when you take the time to truly see someone.

✨What’s my favourite part about the job and why?

My favourite part about the job is helping people. Empowering my clients to live a meaningful, self-directed life. It lights me up to see someone overcome barriers and express themselves in their own unique way. Seeing the joy on their face is my favourite.

✨What do you like about working for Care Squad?

I like working for Care Squad because it makes me feel seen and valued as an employee. The company really care about the clients and the staff. It feels good to work somewhere that everyone genuinely wants to make a difference.

This week we are putting the spotlight on our Team Leader, Precious! Precious is the definition of an amazing leader and person. We asked Precious some questions about his role and why he chose the sector, check out his responses below 👇

🌟What made you start working in Disability?

My journey into disability support began from a genuine passion for empowering people and making a meaningful impact in their daily lives. I’ve always been drawn to supporting individuals with complex psychosocial needs and helping them live independently, with dignity and choice.

🌟What’s one thing you’ve learned from working with the clients you support?

I’ve learned the true value of patience, empathy, and flexibility. Each person’s journey is unique, and progress looks different for everyone. Supporting people through challenging moments while celebrating their wins, no matter how small, has been incredibly humbling.

🌟What is your favourite part of the job and why?

My favourite part is connecting with client and their families, and seeing them achieve their personal goals (whether it’s improving daily routines, joining social activities, or developing new skills). Watching that growth and seeing improved quality of life reinforces why I chose this career.

🌟What do you like about working for Care Squad?

Care Squad has a genuinely supportive culture where teamwork, respect, and client wellbeing come first. I appreciate how management values staff input and recognises the hard work we put into delivering quality care. The sense of purpose and collaboration here makes it an excellent place to grow. And the growth is amazing.
