Mt Wilhelm is the highest mountain in Papua New Guinea and Oceania, has rugged peaks with a well-formed trail leading to its summit. The ascent crosses diverse and beautiful terrain with open grassland on the slopes and granite predominant in the higher levels. It is not a technical mountain to climb.
The mountain lends itself to all age groups and would expect anyone wanting to ascend to be extremely fit and in very good physical condition.
Please do not underestimate how physically hard our little hill is here in PNG.
The mountain is located in a very remote area of Papua New Guinea. The traditional culture is also another amazing experience in itself.

Our PNG guides are very experienced. They live on the mountain; they have empathy for anyone suffering from altitude sickness. Slowing down the pace and hydrating is often all that is required to get trekkers through any issues allowing them to get to the summit and back safely.
We only climb Mt Wilhelm between the months April through to November.
