Today I wrote, for the first time in ages, just for the sake of it.
Not to promote anything. Not to create content.
Just for me.
Because writing was always something that filled my cup.
​
Lately (let's be honest - for a LONG time) I’ve avoided writing.
I’ve been caught in the treadmill and grind of creating for consumption, creating because the online gurus told me to, creating to satisfy the algorithm.
​
And guess what?
It didn't satisfy the algorithm.
It didn't improve my "bottom line."
​
While I enjoyed it at first - because I was writing about things I cared about -
Soon, it became pressure.
It became hustle.
​
So this week, I’ve let it go.
I gave both myself and ChatGPT a few days away from social media content creation.....
Also because my laptop crapped itself -well played, Universe, I see what you did there. 😉
​
Today I want to ask you -
What have you done for yourself this week?
​
Not something on your to-do list.
Not something you felt you "should" do.
Not a thing that satisfied someone else’s need.
Not to make money, or feed the family.
​
Something that was just for you.
Just because.
​
And if you answer that with “nothing”......
You’ve got all weekend to make it happen.
