Last week, our team at Macedon Ranges Health came together to celebrate Cultural Diversity Week with a shared lunch – a delicious way to connect!

Staff brought along dishes that reflected their own cultures or cultures they feel connected to, creating a table full of flavour, stories and tradition. From treasured family recipes to new favourites, it was a chance to learn more about one another and celebrate the diversity that makes our workplace so special.

This year’s theme, “Culture Connects Us All,” truly came to life with food sparking conversation, connection and a real sense of community.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed, shared, and made the day so meaningful 💛

Supporting Young Men in Our Community

Parents. Teachers. Coaches. Youth leaders.

If you work with or care about young men -this conversation is for you.

Join us for The Man Cave: Community Keynote, an engaging and thought-provoking session exploring what’s really going on for young men today and how we can better support them.

What we’ll explore:
• Mental health, identity, connection and confidence
• The impact of gender stereotypes and “tough guy” norms
• What young men are really experiencing today
• Practical ways to support and engage with teens
• How we can build healthy masculinity together

Why this matters:
• Su***de is the leading cause of death for young men under 25
• Many boys feel pressure to hide vulnerability and “tough it out”
• Emotional isolation can increase risk of disengagement and harmful behaviours
• Strong, connected communities lead to better outcomes for young people

✨ Celebrate diverse traditions and perspectives
✨ Stand up against discrimination

Together, we make our community a place where everyone can feel at home.

International Women’s Day 2026

Macedon Ranges Health proudly celebrates International Women’s Day and stands with our community in embracing a simple, powerful principle: give to gain.

This year’s theme is all about giving - whether it’s time, support, mentorship, resources, or chances to grow. When we give, it creates safer spaces, better health, stronger leaders, better incomes, and more opportunities for all women and girls.

At Macedon Ranges Health, we see every day how amazing women are as carers, professionals, volunteers, advocates, and changemakers. We also know how important it is to have safe, welcoming spaces where everyone can thrive. By sharing our time, know-how, and compassion, we’re helping build lasting change together.

This International Women's Day, we celebrate the achievements of women and recommit to promoting respect, inclusion, and wellbeing for all.

Who is a woman in your life who inspires you? Share a message of appreciation in the comments.

Supporting strong, confident teens through physiotherapy led training.

For the past 12 months, Macedon Ranges Health has been running a physiotherapy developed and led strengthening program for teens aged 12–17.

The program supports young people to build strength, improve movement and reduce injury risk in a safe, supportive environment.

“This program is about setting young people up with the right foundations for lifelong movement and sport,” says Aleks, program physiotherapist. “We focus on age appropriate strength, key movement patterns and injury prevention, with a strong emphasis on correct technique. These foundational athletic movements are the building blocks that help prepare young people to safely transition into a commercial gym environment later on, when it’s appropriate, while building confidence and performance as they grow.”

“We consistently hear really positive feedback from participants. Teens tell us they feel stronger, more confident, and better prepared for sport and future training. Parents also appreciate that the program is supervised by physiotherapists in a safe, supportive environment where correct technique and long-term development really matter.”

A great example of how early, evidence-based support can help young people move well now - and into the future.
