Christmas in July: A Winter’s Day to Warm the Heart ❄️🎄

This month, At our new Gladesville home, laughter echoed, music danced through the air, and warmth bloomed despite the chill.

We gathered not just to celebrate Christmas in July but to honour the spirit of community, care, and connection. 💙

At Closer Care, our support workers go beyond tasks—they bring connection, creativity, and compassion into everyday moments. 💛

Last week, when one of our participants was feeling a little low, our team gently encouraged some feel-good activities—ending in a peaceful drawing session guided by a YouTube tutorial. 🎨🧑‍🎨

Sometimes, support looks like a walk in the park. Other times, it’s sitting together, creating art, and just being present.

It’s the little things that make a big difference. 💫

Here’s a glimpse from our Jar Decoration Activity! 🌟 It’s been a joyful and creative journey for all participants, as they’ve transformed simple jars into beautiful works of art. This fun and engaging group activity allows participants to express their unique creativity, improve fine motor skills, and build a sense of accomplishment. It's a wonderful way to enhance social connections, boost confidence, and foster a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities.
