Did you know that constipation affects up to 30% of children. Normal bowel motions can range from 3 times daily to once every 3 days (this will vary with age).
We often think that constipation means straining to go to the toilet but it can present in other different symptoms especially with kids i.e frequent daytime accidents.
It is important to know how regular your child is and what these bowel motions looks like. This can help pick up constipation issues earlier and seek treatment.
If you notice your child has irregular patterns, constipation symptoms (slide 2) or is not passing every 3 days please seek help from your GP or Pelvic Health Physiotherapist.
