Established by McCosker as a community gift, the space brings together local organisations to deliver counselling, health programs, and mateship in a safe, welcoming environment.

Today, more than any other day, connection matters.
Christmas can be a joyful time for many — but for others it can feel lonely, overwhelming, or difficult. If you’re needing support, someone to lean on, someone to talk to, or simply a sense of connection, please know that Bob’s Garage is here for you.

Today we are proud to support Anglicare Ray’s Soup Kitchen and Coffee & Conversations, who are both hosting Christmas lunches for people who may be feeling isolated or who don’t have family nearby to share the day with. These small acts of kindness make a big difference.

If there’s one thing to remember this festive season, it’s this: check in on your friends, family, colleagues — even someone you haven’t spoken to in a while. Sometimes the smallest gesture means the most.

💙 THANK YOU, ROTARY CLUB OF PORT CURTIS 💙

Recently, Bob’s Garage had the pleasure of presenting to the , sharing our business model and the reasons behind the existence of Bob’s Garage and the work we do to support men in our community.

We were incredibly grateful to receive over $6,000 donation from the club’s fundraising efforts through Project We Care — a program developed with a strong focus on su***de prevention. This generous contribution will be directed toward supporting counselling services, helping ensure more men across our region can access the support they need.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Port Curtis for your kindness, your commitment to community wellbeing, and your ongoing efforts to make a real difference. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to seeing the positive impact this funding will have in our community.

💙 A MORNING TO REMEMBER – GRAND OPENING OF BOB’S GARAGE 💙

Recently, we were proud to officially open Bob’s Garage on International Men’s Day, hosted by the — and what a truly special morning it was.

The event was filled with connection, conversation and genuine community spirit. The excitement and support in the room were deeply felt, and it reinforced exactly why Bob’s Garage exists — to create a welcoming space where men can connect, feel supported and know they are not alone.

We’re grateful to for putting together this short snippet to help share this milestone moment and capture the energy and significance of the day.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, supported the build of the facility, and contributed funding to help ensure Bob’s Garage can continue operating and supporting men throughout 2025 and beyond. This facility truly has been built by the community, for the community.

🎄 CHRISTMAS CLOSURE NOTICE – BOB’S GARAGE 🎄

Bob’s Garage will be closed from 1:00pm Friday, 19 December, and will reopen Monday, 5 January.

As we pause for the Christmas break, we want to sincerely thank our community, partners, volunteers, donors and supporters for standing alongside us throughout 2025. This year marked some huge milestones — including the opening of Bob’s Garage — made possible through incredible community collaboration, in-kind support, and funding that allows us to continue building the facility and providing counselling and wellbeing services for men in our region.

We are deeply grateful for the belief shown in this space and the shared commitment to men’s health and connection.

The international 16 Days of Activism campaign launches today, shining a light on gender-based violence and the importance of safety, respect, and connection in our community.

The campaign opened this morning with the Red Shoe Project at Friend Park — a powerful display honouring women and girls whose lives have been tragically lost. We encourage our community to visit the installation and engage in this important conversation.

At Bob’s Garage, we are proud to support this campaign and stand alongside the organisations working tirelessly to create a safer future for all.

Today, our community came together for the official launch of Bob’s Garage — fittingly held on International Men’s Day at the Marina hosted by the Rotary Club of Gladstone Inc .

It was an incredible morning of connection, conversation, and community spirit as more than 300 people gathered over breakfast to learn about the vision, operations, and purpose of this important new facility for Gladstone.
We heard inspiring words from our guest speakers — Bob McCosker (Founder of Bob’s Garage and Managing Director, McCosker Contracting ), Stacey Ross (CEO of and .co ), and Mark Brooks (Men’s Health Advocate, and Founder) — who shared the heart behind Bob’s Garage, the support it will offer, and the positive impact it aims to have on local men, their families, and our wider community.

The energy at the parkland was nothing short of uplifting — people connecting, sharing stories, and celebrating what can be achieved when a community comes together for a greater cause.
