Scrubs — it’s not about dress code — it’s about infection control, patient safety, and sterile precision.

Every time a surgeon steps into theatre, scrubs are part of the protection protocol. Most people never realise how critical they are until now.

09/02/2026

Breast augmentation, medically known as augmentation mammoplasty, is a procedure designed to increase breast volume, improve shape, and enhance overall breast balance. While some patients choose it to increase size, for many women, it’s about restoring volume after pregnancy or weight loss, improving symmetry, or rebuilding breast shape after cancer treatment.

Treatment options may include breast implants or fat grafting (autologous fat transfer), depending on individual goals and suitability. Implants come in different sizes, shapes, textures (smooth or micro-textured), and fillings (silicone gel or saline), allowing the procedure to be tailored to each patient.

A detailed consultation helps determine the most appropriate approach, expected outcomes, and surgical plan.

They look like regular glasses — but they let surgeons see tiny details most people would miss.

These are called surgical loupes — high-magnification lenses used during plastic surgery to improve precision, accuracy, and safety.

Small tool. Big difference.

03/02/2026

Upper eyelid surgery, or upper blepharoplasty, is a procedure designed to improve the appearance of the eyes and address functional concerns. It can remove excess skin and fatty tissue, improve eyelid contour, reduce puffiness, correct asymmetry, and in some cases, enhance vision if loose skin is obstructing the eyelashes.

This procedure may be suitable for individuals experiencing age-related changes, genetic factors, or eyelid ptosis. A consultation with Dr Kernohan provides an opportunity to discuss your individual needs, expectations, and to determine whether upper eyelid surgery is appropriate for you.

Before-and-after images from a recent patient who underwent a Fleur-de-Lis abdominoplasty with liposuction and a thigh lift.

These images were taken 5 weeks post-procedure.

At this early stage of recovery, swelling is still settling and scars are continuing to heal. Scar appearance will change over time and typically improves gradually with appropriate care and follow-up.
