🏠 Big changes to aged care are here!

From 1 November 2025, Australia's aged care system has undergone its most significant transformation in decades. The new Aged Care Act 2024 is now in effect, putting the rights and wellbeing of older Australians front and centre.

As part of these reforms, the Support at Home program has officially replaced the Home Care Packages (HCP) program — bringing with it greater choice, more funding levels, and a stronger focus on helping older Australians live independently at home for longer.

Under the new laws, aged care providers are now held to strengthened Quality Standards, registered with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, and required to put your safety, rights, and care first.

These changes mean better, safer, and more personalised care for you or your loved ones. 💙

Seniors are invited to a Seniors Engagement and Launch Event at the Australian Standing Stones, celebrating the start of Seniors Festival 2026 (2–15 March).

What’s on in the morning:
• Gentle, all‑abilities yoga focusing on movement, breath and balance
• Live music and a shared morning tea
• First Nations weaving and yarning circle centred on creativity, storytelling and cultural exchange
