MGP and continuity of care represent the gold standard in maternity practice for women and their families.

Hannah, Chris, Theo and Bernie warmly welcomed baby Frederick “Freddie,” with each family member playing a meaningful role throughout the journey. Their experience reflects the strength, connection and reassurance that continuity of care can foster, creating a positive and supportive environment for both parents and siblings.

A particularly touching gesture was Theo’s beautiful thank you card, filled with the most gorgeous drawings that captured and celebrated their family’s journey — a reminder of the lasting impact of care that extends beyond birth itself.

It has been a privilege to be part of their story, and we wish them every happiness as they are now discharged from the service and begin this next chapter together as a family 🤍

Thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you during such a special time.

You’re invited! 🤍

Join us as we celebrate International Midwives Day and our Midwifery Group Practice’s 2nd birthday here in Glen Innes!

We would love to bring together the families, women and babies who are part of our MGP community for a relaxed morning of connection, conversation and celebration.

📍 Meet at The Coffee Incident 5th of May at 9:30am
🚶‍♀️ Pram walk to Anzac Park
🧺 Picnic together from 10–11am

Bring along your picnic rug, your little ones, and enjoy a beautiful morning with other local families and midwives.

This is such a special opportunity to reflect on the relationships, journeys and continuity of care that make MGP so meaningful — and to celebrate the community we’ve built together over the past two years 🤍

Families, mums, babies (and siblings!) all welcome.

✨ If you’ve been part of our MGP in the past, we would absolutely love to see you there — and please feel free to share this with other MGP families you’re still connected with.

We hope to see you there ✨

💗Another beautiful discharge this week for Steph, Ewan and baby Maggie 💗

It has been such a privilege to care for this gorgeous family throughout pregnancy, birth and into the postnatal period. Maggie is thriving, and her parents are doing an incredible job as they settle into life together 🙌🏼

Supported throughout their journey by our very own midwife Heather 🥰

If you’d like continuity of care with a known midwife to support and nurture you throughout your pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey, please contact Glen Innes MGP on 6739 0226 — we would love to care for you too 💐

💐 Welcoming baby Gracie Gayle to the Glen Innes community 💐

Another beautiful arrival supported through our Midwifery Group Practice, where continuity of care, informed choice, and positive birth experiences remain at the heart of what we do 💕

💬 Some beautiful feedback from the family:

“We welcomed our baby on Tuesday, and we are so grateful that she is healthy and thriving. The entire journey—from pregnancy to birth and postnatal care—was truly exceptional. We always felt safe, supported, and cared for throughout every step.

Choosing a waterbirth was a wonderful decision, and everything went smoothly as planned. Our midwife, Jo, was incredible; her professionalism, kindness, and calm presence made a huge difference. Even when other midwives took over, the care remained consistently excellent.

What stood out most was the genuine relationship we built. We never felt like just another patient—we felt truly known, supported, and cared for. This personal connection made the whole experience even more special and reassuring.

We highly recommend this team to anyone looking for compassionate, attentive, and expert maternity care.”

✨ Multiple Birth Awareness Week ✨

This week we celebrate the incredible journey of families welcoming twins, triplets and more 💛

Across our district, many families experience the unique joys (and challenges!) of multiple births each year—and we feel so privileged to walk alongside them here in our MGP.

These gorgeous twins, “Daisy” & “Charlotte,” are a beautiful example of what support, dedication, and love can achieve 🌿
💛 6 weeks of exclusive breastfeeding and thriving!

Caring for multiples is no small feat, and we recognise the strength, resilience, and commitment of these families every day.

If you’re expecting multiples, there is support available to help you prepare for birth, feeding, and early parenting. You can learn more through Hunter New England’s Parenting Education Service here:
