MEET YOUR THERAPIST — Karen King | Owner & Therapist, The Repair Room

Karen King is a highly experienced Remedial & Sports Therapist with over 20 years of industry experience and more than a decade of clinical practice at The Repair Room. With advanced training in pain management and rehabilitation, Karen specialises in supporting clients living with injuries, chronic pain, illness, stress and sleep challenges — delivering highly tailored, clinically focused treatment in a calm, professional environment.

Karen’s approach is individualised and results-driven. Each session is customised to your body’s needs on the day — no fixed routines and no “cookie-cutter” programs. Through skilled assessment and hands-on therapy, she works through muscle function, identifies areas of dysfunction and provides practical education on stretching, post-care, recovery strategies and recommended maintenance plans.

Her treatment scope includes remedial massage, sports therapy, relaxation massage, lymphatic drainage, cupping, gua sha, pregnancy massage and reflexology. Karen is currently undertaking further study in Dry Needling, which will be introduced as a specialised clinical service in the near future.

Karen regularly supports clients managing complex conditions such as fibromyalgia, lupus, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal conditions and post-surgical rehabilitation, as well as athletes ranging from junior competitors (10+) through to recreational and elite performers.

She works collaboratively with physiotherapists, doctors and allied health professionals when required to ensure comprehensive, ethical and outcome-focused care.

Additional services including manicures, pedicures and facials are also available as complementary wellness options or standalone treatments.

Operating from a quiet, climate-controlled private clinic, Karen provides an upscale, professional treatment experience centred on education, recovery and long-term pain management.

Just wanted to share a proud mum moment with my wonderful clients. My beautuful oldest daughter Isobel has been training and competing in Koshiki Karate over the past couple years, even at the World Championships. Today she was awarded the Australia Day Junior Sports Person of the Year.

Needless to say she wants to keep competing and training in both her martial arts and new found love of horse riding.
