This is a picture of my Dad’s fridge. He is 93, eats 95% raw food, and is on zero medication.

Considering that a person’s lifestyle is a very good predictor of their future health, of importance is their ‘appetite’.
Most older people have one or more ailments.
During their earlier years did they eat the Govt recommendation of 5 servings of veges per day and 2 servings of fruit? Did they eat food that is primarily unprocessed?
I have found the contents of a fridge is a barometer of the health of people as they age.
The majority of my fridge is taken up with veges. I always ensure I also have plenty of different fruits for family members.
The food we eat, consumed over many many years does impact your health as you age.

Your ‘lifestyle’ is a very good predictor of your future health.
As a person gets older, when you look at their current ‘health’ status, consider what their lifestyle leading up to their current age ... their appetite, activity, attitude, anxiety, how they treated their alimentary system (digestive tract), the atmosphere of people they mixed with .... I have found that all these factor and more impact a person’s health.

I start each day with a fresh vegetable (carrot, beetroot, kale, celery) juice ( and pineapple). The time taken from cutting up the veges to washing up and putting away the juicer was less than 10 minutes ... and the benefits are well worth the effort.

Having talked with many people about their lifestyle and health issues, I wholeheartedly believe, if a person lives what I consider to be a healthy lifestyle, and barring genetic health issues and accidents, a person should enjoy excellent health well beyond 70 years of age.

I heard on the radio yesterday that Tuesday 4th February was World Cancer Day. The radio article said that 50% of Australians will develop cancer by age 85, and that up to 90% of cancers have lifestyle and environmental influences as contributing factors.

It is well worth educating yourself on good lifestyle principles ... for your own sake and your family .... and being diligent in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The Australian Government recommends adults have a minimum of 6 vegetable servings per day (a serving is 1/2 cup full).
Each day, by 9am I have had 6 veges: a teaspoon of organic Wheat Grass powder, freshly juiced carrots, beetroot, English spinach, parsley, celery and a few mint leaves 😊
