🌟 Meet Dr. Lukas Egger 🌟

We’re excited to introduce Dr. Lukas Egger, a GP registrar at PartridgeGP, commencing on Wednesday 4th February 2026.

Dr Egger previously was at both the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where he developed a broad set of clinical interests and a strong appreciation for patient-centred care. He enjoys caring for patients of all ages and stages of life, with a focus on preventative health, long-term wellbeing, and continuity of care.

Outside of work, Lukas enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting outdoors with his dog, and keeping active with a passion for all things sport. He’s currently renovating his first home and enjoys spending time with his partner, exploring Adelaide’s food scene whenever he gets the chance.

🌟 Meet Dr. Rohan Nitchingham 🌟

We’re excited to introduce Dr. Rohan Nitchingham, a GP registrar at PartridgeGP, commencing on Wednesday 4th February 2026.

Rohan is an Adelaide-born GP Registrar who is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. He completed his medical degree at Bond University in 2024 and undertook his junior medical training at Flinders Medical Centre, gaining experience across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.

Rohan has a particular interest in general medicine, skin cancer medicine and surgery, paediatrics, sports medicine, and the long-term management of chronic conditions. He values building strong, trusting relationships with his patients and takes a holistic approach to healthcare, focusing on both prevention and ongoing wellbeing.

Outside of medicine, Rohan enjoys watching soccer, discovering new restaurants around Adelaide, and spending quality time with family and friends.

If your child has asthma or allergies, they may need an Action Plan in place for school or childcare. Having this organised early helps ensure teachers and carers know exactly what to do if your child needs support.

Heat exhaustion vs heat stroke – do you know the difference?

Heat exhaustion is the body’s response to an excessive loss of water and/or salt contained in sweat. It can be treated by cooling down the body’s temperature by resting in a cool place, taking a cool shower, or drinking water.

When left untreated, heat exhaustion can turn into heat stroke, which is a life-threatening emergency. If you notice yourself or someone displaying symptoms, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

If you are experiencing heatstroke, here’s what to do while waiting for help to arrive.

If the person is unconscious:
• Lay them on their side in the recovery position and check they can breathe properly.
• Perform CPR if needed.

If the person is conscious:
• Do not give them aspirin or paracetamol.
• Move them to a cool area and keep them still.
• Give them small sips of fluid.
• Cool them down with cold water or cool packs.
