It’s Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

Awareness starts with looking after your health and staying up to date with important screenings. When was the last time you had a cervical screening?

Regular screening plays an important role in women’s health and early detection. If you’re unsure whether you’re due, or have questions about screening, your GP can help guide you.

Let’s keep the conversation going and look after ourselves and each other.

February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
Each year in Australia, around 1,900 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Sadly, many are diagnosed at a later stage, when treatment can be more challenging.

Awareness matters. Knowing the early signs and listening to your body can make a real difference.

This Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, we encourage you to start the conversation, trust your instincts, and speak with your GP if something doesn’t feel right. Early checks and open conversations can save lives.

Let’s shine a light on ovarian cancer — together. 💙

You are not alone.

Your mental health matters just as much as your physical health, and it’s okay to reach out when things feel overwhelming. If you’re needing a little extra support, your GP can talk with you about a Mental Health Care Plan and what support options might be right for you. 💬

We’re here to listen, to support you, and to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Speak with your GP about a Mental Health Care Plan at your next visit.

Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) is a common viral illness we often see in young children. While it can look uncomfortable, it is usually mild and self-limiting.

How does HFMD spread?

HFMD spreads easily through:
• Close contact with blister fluid
• Coughing and sneezing
• Nappy changes (contact with faeces)
• Touching contaminated toys or surfaces

Signs and symptoms to watch for

• Fever
• Tiredness or irritability
• Reduced appetite
• Sores or blisters in the mouth
• Blisters on the hands and feet

Children may have a sore mouth for a few days before blisters appear and may refuse food or drinks due to discomfort.

What can help

✔ Encourage plenty of fluids
✔ Keep your child home while unwell
✔ Good hand hygiene for the whole family

If your child is not drinking, seems very unwell, or if you’re concerned at any point, our team is here to help. Please contact PartridgeGP for advice or an appointment.

Make sure you stay hydrated, cool, and sun-safe.

Stay safe in the heat and check in on others, especially children and older adults.
