🧒 We’re committed to helping young Australians get ready for the social media delay.

That includes supporting parents, carers, and teachers to help their under-16s with information and practical guidance they can use to prepare.

We’ve launched a new suite of resources in our social media age restrictions hub, designed to empower under-16s and equip their support networks.

We developed these resources in collaboration with trusted partners including headspace, Kids Helpline Official, Beyond Blue, raisingchildren.net.au and ReachOut Australia.

They include:
⚙️ A dedicated online hub with tailored FAQs explaining what is happening, and how to prepare.
🏁 Practical guidance for parents and carers, including conversations starters and get-ready guides.
🍎 Information for educators on what the new restrictions mean for schools, and how to support students.
ℹ️ Youth-friendly content outlining what the new restrictions mean for young people, downloadable action plans and where to go for help and support.

Together, we’re making sure young people and their communities are informed, supported, and ready.

Set up content controls in your Libby app!

Libby's content controls are based on titles' audience categories. There are four audience categories in Libby:

Juvenile: Titles intended for readers ages 0-12.
Young adult: Titles written for readers ages 13-18.
General content: Titles written for adult readers or a general audience. This is the audience category for most titles.
Mature content: Titles intended only for mature audiences due to the nature of their content.
